Unused icons found in the PS5 Store database may indicate that Sony is working on new features, including Cross-Buy and a possible “Echo Mode.” According to insider Amethxst, the leaked symbols also include tags showing which games are available on both PS5 and PC.
Information about the potential new features surfaced after X user Amethxst published images of new icons reportedly found in the PS5 database. Among them are “PS5/PC” symbols, which could mark titles available on both platforms, such as Lost Soul Aside, as well as a Cross-Buy logo whose exact purpose remains unclear.
In response to questions about the leak’s authenticity, Amethxst shared a video showing the icons displayed within their PSN profile interface. The insider noted that these symbols were added to the system between March and November 2025.
Microsoft previously introduced a Cross-Buy system through its Xbox Play Anywhere program, allowing users to purchase a game once and play it across both console and PC. If this leak proves accurate, Sony may be preparing a similar initiative to further integrate its platforms.
