Mojang Studios has officially announced the second Minecraft Live event for 2025, set to take place on September 27 at 10:00 AM Pacific Time. Fans can look forward to major announcements, new gameplay details, and the much-anticipated "Copper Age" update. The global broadcast will be available on multiple platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, Minecraft.net, TikTok, and Instagram.

Players will have the chance to see Minecraft 1.21.9: The Copper Age — an expansion that will introduce copper golems, new tools, armor, storage chests, chains, lanterns, torches, shelves, and other decorative blocks to the game. According to Mojang, this update will significantly expand the role of copper in the Minecraft world: golems will gradually oxidize and eventually turn into green Xopper statues.

The broadcast will also feature exclusive developer interviews, gameplay demonstrations, and community interactions. As before, following the main show, there will be a Deep Dig After Show hosted by Vu Bui. This segment will delve deeper into the new mechanics with developers and special guests.

This is the second Minecraft Live this year — the previous one took place in March, introducing players to the Happy Ghast mount and Vibrant Visuals improvements. Unlike earlier 30-minute episodes, Mojang noted that the September show might last between 60 to 90 minutes, hinting at additional surprises, possibly even a few new updates by the end of the year.

Rumors are circulating in the community about a possible desert biome update, new water features, and even a mysterious project called "Spicewood", although Mojang has not confirmed these. Additionally, well-known content creators like Mogswamp and Shubble might join the event, having recently visited Mojang's office, which has only fueled the anticipation.

Some players speculate that Mojang might unexpectedly release The Copper Age right after the broadcast. However, at the very least, the release date for the update will be officially announced during the show. Either way, the September broadcast promises to be another significant event of the year for Minecraft fans.
