New heroine: Phainon

Phainon is a new 5-star Destruction-type character with a Physical element. She will have her own banner in the first phase of the update, scheduled to launch on July 1 in North America and July 2 in Europe and Asia. Visually and stylistically, Phainon is designed with a starry theme, and her skills focus on delivering powerful physical pressure on enemies.

Collaboration with Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]

For the first time in Honkai: Star Rail, a full collaboration with another media franchise will be implemented. As part of a special event starting July 11, two characters from Fate/stay night will appear in the game:

• Saber — a Destruction-type character with the Wind element
• Archer — a Hunt-type character with the Quantum element

Both will receive their own banners and unique gameplay mechanics. Saber focuses on team synergy, while Archer emphasizes battlefield control through precise skill distribution.

One of the major additions will be the AI-based character — Scientist Wubbzy, who will appear alongside HoYoLAB. Wubbzy will assist players in choosing relics, team compositions, and character builds, significantly reducing preparation time for both casual and competitive players.

Interface improvements

The update will add a long-awaited skip function for cutscenes, allowing players to avoid re-watching familiar story moments. A series of navigation and team management enhancements will also be introduced for more convenient gameplay.

Update 3.4 promises to be one of the most content-rich updates of 2025, combining a deep storyline, a unique new character, an unexpected collaboration with Fate/stay night, and significant interface improvements. Phainon will become available in early July, while Saber and Archer will join the game starting July 11.
