Cherry Team disclosed the information on the first significant post-release patch (1.0.28470) for Hollow Knight: Silksong. It predominantly aims at fixing persistent issues for players since launch, while also polishing some of the early-game difficulty spikes. Assuming everything goes according to the schedule, the patch should launch on all platforms by the middle of next week. Until then, Windows users on Steam and GOG can access the patch via the public-beta branch.

Patch Details
The update packs a mix of critical bug fixes and balance tweaks. Some of the most notable changes include:
Progression Fixes:
- Issues preventing the completion of quests like Infestation Operation and Beast in the Bells have been resolved.
- Courier deliveries becoming inaccessible in the late game should now work as intended.
- Several soft-lock and movement glitches, such as floating after down-bouncing on projectiles or getting stuck with Lace’s tool deflect, have been patched out.
Balance Adjustments:
- Slight difficulty reduction for early bosses Moorwing and Sister Splinter.
- Sandcarvers now deal reduced damage.
- Bellway and Bell Bench prices lowered slightly in the mid-game.
- Rosary rewards have been increased for relics, psalm cylinders, and courier deliveries.
Miscellaneous Fixes:
- Hornet no longer gets stuck inverted after binding with Claw Mirrors.
- Snitch Pick now drops rosaries and shell shards properly.
- Minor collider and input tweaks for smoother play.

More significantly, all fixes implemented are retroactive in nature, meaning players who were previously frozen in place due to progression blocking bugs should expect to see their saves recover once due patches are applied.
Team Cherry has confirmed that a second patch is already being developed, aiming to fix more bugs and add refinements. For the time being, they are asking players to continue to submit any lingering problems using the available official FAQ and bug report system.
