HoYoverse has officially confirmed Aino as one of the new playable characters debuting in Genshin Impact’s Version 6.0 update. Slated for September 10, the patch will introduce Nod-Krai, the game’s newest region, along with a massive wave of story content and long-awaited character debuts.

Nod-Krai will play host to major in-game factions, including the Knights of Favonius, the Fatui, and the Hexenzirkel. The update will also mark the first in-game appearances of fan favorites such as Klee’s mother Alice, Fatui Harbingers Columbina and Sandrone, the human form of Durin, and the Knights of Favonius Grand Master Varka.

Aino: Hydro Inventor of Nod-Krai

Aino is described as a brilliant inventor and the “Parent of the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop” within Nod-Krai. She will join the roster as a Hydro character, though HoYoverse has yet to detail her full combat abilities. Early teasers hint at unique utility in team compositions, potentially making her a versatile choice for players.

Other New Characters in Version 6.0

Aino won’t arrive alone. HoYoverse has already announced Lauma, a Dendro Catalyst user and priest of the Frostmoon Scions, as another addition in Version 6.0. The update will also introduce Flins, a 5-star Electro Polearm user from the Lightkeepers who serves as a Main DPS. His kit focuses on the Lunar-Charged reaction, after casting his Elemental Skill, Flins enters his Manifest Flame form, gaining Electro infusion for his Normal and Charged Attacks. In this state, his Elemental Burst is replaced by Thunderous Symphony, a special version of his Burst that consumes less Elemental Energy and delivers a powerful AoE Electro strike classified as Lunar-Charged DMG.

With the introduction of Nod-Krai, multiple long-anticipated character debuts, and new gameplay possibilities, Version 6.0 is shaping up to be one of Genshin Impact’s most ambitious updates to date.
