Starting October 29, 2025, Free Fire will no longer work on Google Play Games for PC. This means you won’t be able to install or open the game with Google’s PC emulator anymore.

The mobile version of Free Fire will stay the same and keep working on phones. On PC, only Free Fire MAX will stay available through Google Play Games.

How to keep your progress

If you play as a “guest,” you must link your account to Google Play before October 29. Otherwise, you could lose all your progress, items, and achievements. After linking, you just need to download Free Fire MAX on PC and log in with the same account. Everything will transfer.

If you don’t link your account

If you don’t link your account, there’s a high risk of permanently losing your progress and access to your in-game data. Also, after October 29, Free Fire will simply disappear from Google Play Games on PC, and you won’t be able to open it.

Alternatives

You are able to keep playing Free Fire on your phone since no change will happen there. Free Fire MAX via Google Play Games is the primary PC option. Instead, you could try third-party emulators like BlueStacks. However, it is true that these emulators are less safe, and also they do not always run in a stable way.
