Fortnite will receive a new season titled Lawless, which will immerse players in a world of crime, heists, and intense shootouts. The update will add new characters, mechanics, and locations, along with significant map changes. However, fans will have to wait a bit longer, as the game remains unavailable due to scheduled maintenance before the next season's release. However, currently Fortnite servers down for some time.

Epic Games took down the servers at 2:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) / 11:00 AM Pacific Time (PT) on February 20 to implement a major update. Typically, maintenance lasts 3-4 hours, but delays are possible. If all goes as planned, the servers could be back online around 6:00 AM ET / 3:00 AM PT.
Players attempting to log into the game during the update will only see the loading screen, as all online features remain disabled. Epic Games has not specified the exact time the servers will be restored, but updates can be tracked on the Epic Games status page and official Fortnite social media.
However, there is information that the Fortnite server status will be online soon.
Epic Games is taking Fortnite in a whole new direction with Chapter 6 Season 2, titled Lawless. This season looks like an ode to crime thrillers, heists, and chaos in metropolises, drawing inspiration from Grand Theft Auto, Las Vegas, and classic action movies.
From a rich Battle Pass with Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat to an updated map depicting a crime-ridden city—there's plenty to discuss. Here's everything you need to know about the new season, including various leaks, confirmed updates, and anticipated innovations.
Epic Games recently showcased a line-up of police characters that will appear in the Battle Pass of Fortnite Season 2 Update. It combines original and crossover skins, creating the impression that Looney Tunes have met criminal gangs. The heroes look as if they've stepped right off the pages of a comic book.
Leaked images of the new season's skins show Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat, some anthropomorphic characters, as well as new types of skins for familiar characters.
Joining all this is a new version of Midas, known as "Outlaw Midas." He has acquired the image of a street racer in the style of "Fast and the Furious," hinting at a more rebellious character nature. Players are already speculating that this is not the last version of Midas we'll see this season.

Another eccentric novelty is Big Dill, a humanoid pickle-rapper, who is part of the Tasty Bois gang. Rumor has it he'll get an emote “Dill With It,” which will give him sunglasses in the style of a classic internet meme.
The Battle Pass will include the following skins:
The variety of characters hints at a story-heavy season, where criminals and law enforcers will clash for dominance over the island.
The new map, named Crime City, is an alternative version of Las Vegas, filled with neon lights, casinos, and high-stakes in the world of crime. Epic Games has gradually revealed clues about the new location: billboards covered in graffiti, and the name "Crimson City" crossed out and changed to “Crime City.”
Some of the main locations on the new map include:
One of the most intriguing features of the map is the return of Fox Clan. In teasers, a symbol has been spotted that may belong to this mysterious group. If true, we may see new characters with abilities related to Rifts, further expanding the sci-fi lore of Fortnite.

Fortnite is focusing on heists, with sources pointing to vault raids, explosive devices, and black market trading. One of the promo arts even shows an armored van with blown doors, hinting at the new season's core mechanic—robbery.
Fortnite Season 2 leaks have revealed:
Another unexpected detail is Dill Bits, a humorous in-game cryptocurrency tied to Big Dill. Unlike gold bars, Dill Bits are not retained between matches, making them a temporary token.
Black markets will also appear on the map, where Dill Bits and gold can be exchanged for unique items and weapons.
A crime season wouldn't be complete without powerful bosses leading the chaos on the island. The most dangerous of them is Fletcher Kane, an anthropomorphic wolf, a crime boss from the Battle Pass.
Kane will appear during heists and become a formidable NPC adversary. If players manage to defeat him, they will receive: the mythical Double Down Pistol – a new dual-shot pistol, Unstoppable Medallion – increases running speed and adds a breakthrough attack.
Additionally, Shogun X, who survived the events of the previous season, still roams the island. He has the Super Shield Medallion, which automatically activates the shield when using healing items. It is known that the game will feature 3 bosses and several NPCs to interact with.
Fortnite added A LOT of gameplay references for either Season 3 or an upcoming event this season 😳
