Epic Games has announced the release of Fortnite OG Season 2, set to launch this Friday, January 31, bringing players back to the nostalgic atmosphere of Chapter 1 Season 2. The game will once again feature Tilted Towers, classic items, and updated versions of iconic skins in the Battle Pass. 

While the official launch time is yet to be confirmed, the previous Fortnite OG season was released at 9:00 AM EST (Eastern U.S.) on December 6, 2024. If Epic Games follows a similar schedule, OG Season 2 will launch in these time zones:

Updated Battle Pass Brings Back Black Knight and Cuddle Team Leader

One of the main innovations of Fortnite OG Season 2 is the updated Battle Pass, which, like previous OG seasons, will include remixed versions of classic skins. A recent teaser trailer confirmed the return of Black Knight, Cuddle Team Leader, and Sparkle Specialist—all of which first appeared in Chapter 1 Season 2.

Cuddle Team Leader now has night vision goggles, giving her a tactical look. Black Knight has received additional armor details, making him more detailed compared to the original version. Sparkle Specialist also returns with a new look, but her recognizable style remains unchanged.

It is still unknown how these skins will be distributed in the Battle Pass, but they are expected to be available with alternative styles, emotes, and accessories (Back Blings).

Return of Tilted Towers and Other Classic Locations

The launch of OG Season 2 not only means the return of classic skins but also legendary points of interest (POI). Among the confirmed locations:

• Haunted Hills
• Junk Junction
• Snobby Shores

The teaser shows players descending into Tilted Towers, evoking nostalgia for the legendary shootouts that made this location one of the most dangerous in Fortnite.

Classic Items and Weapons Return

Players who remember the early seasons of Fortnite will be delighted to see the return of favorite items. Among the key additions:

• Boogie Bomb – forces enemies to dance uncontrollably.

• Impulse Grenade – launches players into the air.

Some items from OG Season 1 will be removed from the game, including Ceiling Zapper, Wall Dynamo, and Directional Jump Pad.
