Electronic Arts Launches Battlefield Labs

Electronic Arts (EA) recently unveiled a new scheme, simply christened Battlefield Labs, under which real-life players will have a direct role in deciding the direction in which the future title in the Battlefield series will develop. Under such a scheme, players will have an opportunity to contribute towards testing sections of the title and providing feedback to its developers.

The testing will become available to North and European players, and will have a chance to sign up for taking part in early stages of the program. Players will gain new fighting techniques, multi-player environments, and a variety of under-development types of games through Battlefield Labs, and feedback will enable EA to make the finished article perfect and deliver a gaming experience that is even deeper and more immersive.

The first testing period will commence in a matter of weeks, with a thousand of its players taking part in it. EA wishes to assure everyone that regardless of in what sequence one will sign up, no chance for testing will be less, and everyone will have an even chance at getting in.

The new title in the series for Battlefield is under development with a collection of studios, including DICE, Criterion, Motive, and Ripple Effect, and will be developed under direction with Vince Zampella, a famous developer at Respawn Entertainment.
