BioWare banned streamer Asmongold from the Dragon Age subreddit. Users who subscribe to the blogger and interact with him on Reddit also face blocks on the Dragon Age page. The reason cited is "violations of community rules."
The well-known blogger Asmongold released a video explaining that he and all users who recently left comments on his subreddit page and then tried to post on the Dragon Age subreddit are automatically banned.
The blogger decided to test this by writing a comment that does not violate any Reddit or community rules. However, upon submitting the message, he received a notification that his post requires moderation approval before publication. After refreshing the page, Asmongold got a message stating that his post was removed by moderation due to community rule violations.
Unfortunately due to too many repeated infractions of our civility and bigotry rules from users of this community (Asmongold), we have decided to automatically revoke access to our subreddit as a preventative measure so that our community at large can focus on actual criticisms of the game without getting involved in the war against 'woke culture.' There are other subreddits for Dragon Age that allow this type of discussion, which we recommend visiting instead.
This is likely caused by the blogger's comments on the quality of the new game Dragon Age: The Veilguard, as well as criticism of the so-called "woke culture." The studio is trying by all means to "control" and filter information about its product, avoiding negative reviews and posts.
Previously, it became known that content creators and journalistic outlets that expressed certain negative opinions in their previews of Dragon Age: The Veilguard did not receive access keys to the game for a final review.
