Respawn Entertainment Officially Reveals Apex Legends Season 25: Prodigy. Season 25, titled Prodigy, introduces a new Legend, Sparrow, the return of the "Arenas" mode, weapon updates, and a reworked ranked system. The season begins on May 7, 2025.

New Legend: Sparrow

The spotlight of the season is Sparrow — an agile archer with vertically-oriented abilities. She features a unique playstyle focused on mobility, area control, and quick burst damage.

• Passive – Double Jump: Allows a second jump while in the air, enhancing map navigation.
• Tactical – Tracker Dart: Fires a dart that detects enemies passing by its sensor range.
• Ultimate – Piercing Volley: Launches six consecutive energy shots capable of damaging multiple enemies.

Sparrow will be free for all players during the first two weeks of the season. After that, she can be unlocked by completing special challenges.

Return of Arenas Mode

The 3v3 "Arenas" mode, removed in Season 16, is making a comeback. Players will once again fight in team-based rounds on dedicated maps separate from the main battle royale map. Additionally, a new format called "Arenas: Duels" will debut during the season, featuring one-on-one matchups.

Bocek Bow Changes

The Bocek Bow is returning to floor loot with new features:

• Ability to craft explosive arrows by combining them with grenades.
• Arrows can now be retrieved from downed enemies or the ground after being fired.

Ranked System Overhaul

Starting this season, players can now progress in ranked not only through ranked matches but also in regular game modes. This change aims to reduce the pressure of competitive play and encourage more experimentation. New ranked rewards will also be available, including cosmetics, banners, and dive trails.

Pathfinder Buffs

Pathfinder receives significant improvements:

• 50% reduced damage while using ziplines.
• Both Ultimate and Grappling Hook now have two charges.
• Adaptive cooldown on the grappling hook, ranging from 15 to 30 seconds depending on travel distance.

These changes greatly enhance his role as a mobile scout and initiator.

What’s in the Battle Pass

Season 25’s Battle Pass features 60 levels and includes legendary skins, reactive weapons, banners, emotes, and other cosmetic items themed around the new season.
