Competition Format and Tournament Structure

The playoffs will take place in three stages. The competition will kick off with the group stage, where all 40 teams will be divided into two groups of 20. Each group will play a series of 10 matches.

  • The top seven teams from each group will automatically advance to the finals.
  • Teams placing 8th–17th will get another chance in the Last Chance Qualifier.
  • The bottom three teams from each group will be eliminated from the tournament.

In the Last Chance Round, 20 teams will compete in ten matches, after which only the top six will secure spots in the final, joining the 14 teams that have already advanced through the group stage.

Match Point Final: Battle for the Title

The final part will be conducted in the Match Point format, a classic of ALGS. A team must score at least 50 points to become "match point eligible." After that, they must win one more match to become the champion. Other teams will be ranked based on the total points accumulated in the finals.

Besides the $2 million prize pool, the playoffs are crucial in ALGS. The Championship Points earned here hold more value than regular season points and can be decisive for participation in the Fifth Season Championship, which promises to be one of the largest tournaments in Apex Legends history.

Teams and Regions

Top teams from five regions — North America, EMEA, APAC North, APAC South, and South America — are preparing for fierce competition. This season, for the first time, the Legend Ban System is being used, which excludes the most popular heroes from further play after each match, forcing teams to adapt and change their strategy on the fly.
