How to get to Rivermouth Cave dungeon

Rivermouth Cave is one of the dungeons that can be easily missed, as its location is quite specific and does not immediately catch your eye if you run past it.

To get to Rivermouth Cave, you should first see if you have the Ellac River Cave place of grace unlocked. If not, here's how to get there. First, head to the Castle Front Grace Point, mount Torrent, and head southeast down the road. As soon as you cross the barricades and pass the two guards, you will see a cliff to your left, follow it.

When you reach the edge of the cliff, there will be a cliff and a ledge below that you can climb down to. Continue down the cliffs below until you reach the bottom. Ahead you will see a large poisonous flower, and to the right of it is the entrance to a cave. Enter it, then turn left and go straight until you see the glow from the place of grace on your right.

When you reach it (or if you had it activated), exit the cave and turn right, then walk straight between the rocks, staying in the river. As soon as you see a waterfall, turn left and follow the river until you reach the edge, turn towards the rocky mountain and there you will see the entrance to the cave.

Rivermouth Cave Dungeon Walkthrough

You first activate the Rivermouth Cave place of grace to respawn here in case you die or need to teleport to nearby locations in the future. Turn right and go through the narrow tunnel. You will come to a cave with four wolves. Kill them, and pick up the Hefty Beast Bone item near the wall on the corpse.

Continue through the next tunnel. There will be a fork, turn right, kill two more wolves, and take the Sliver of Meat. Now you can go through the left passage into another room. Three wolves will attack you there again. After killing them, climb up the stones ahead. Below you will see a corpse with an object. The ground will cave under you as soon as you go down. Fall to the level below and pick up the Shadow Realm Rune [1].

Go through the tunnel, picking up Sanguine Amaryllis on the way. There will be a cliff at the end. Turn right, defeat the giant, and go into the passage on the right. There you will meet two wolves in the tunnel, go a little further and there will be two more wolves, and take Sacred Bloody Flesh from the corpse.

Keep moving through the tunnel and you will come to a familiar location. Climb up the stones again and jump into the chasm that formed the last time you stepped on the ground. This time, at the end of the tunnel, turn left and kill the sitting giant.

Below in the crimson water, you will see many such giant trolls. To avoid fighting all of them at once and getting killed, it's best to lure them out one by one with magic, a bow, or other ranged weapon.

Kill the monsters to get some items from them, and pick up some Sanguine Amaryllis near the rock on the right side. In this location, pick up Sacred Bloody Flesh near the stone altar.

Battle with the boss Chief Bloodfiend

Ahead of the river, you will see a misty golden gate that leads to the Chief Bloodfiend dungeon boss. After entering the arena, the boss will immediately rush you in a jumping attack, performing a series of sharp and fast punches on the ground.

In the battle against Chief Bloodfiend, the main thing is to wait for the right moment to strike and not rush. First, carefully study his attacks and possible movesets, and then adapt to them to attack the enemy, take a favourable position, or know the best angles to dodge and avoid getting hurt.
