After a protracted prologue and a public punishment scene, you are set "adrift" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. One of the first side quests that will open up to you involves searching for your dog in the 'The Mutt' quest. For this, you'll need to visit several locations marked on the map to ask the locals if they've seen your dog.
During this, you will be given some sub-quests to help solve the locals' problems in exchange for valuable information. Among such individuals is the herdsman (sheep shepherd) Heardsboy Siegfried. He will ask you to deal with the wolves that are bothering and scaring him. As bait, the hero will ask the shepherd for one of the sheep, to which he will agree to give up his foolish ram, Ignatius, who loves carrots.
Where to find Ignatius in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Finding him shouldn't actually be too much of a problem. Near the shepherd, you will see his hut and a pen with a flock of sheep. Among them, the ram Ignatius will stand out (at least, he'll have horns). He will be roaming near the pen or the shepherd's house. As soon as you approach him or come into his line of sight, he will start following you.
In the image below, we have circled the location with Ignatius. The arrow marks the point to which he should be led.
How to lead Ignatius to the desired point in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
You need to bring the ram to a Y-shaped tree, which will be marked on the in-game map, so there shouldn't be any problems.
It's important that you don't run too fast, or else you'll lose sight of Ignatius. If that happens, he will either return home, and you'll have to go back for him, or he will stop somewhere halfway. It's better to slow down so as not to lose the ram.
Upon reaching the desired point, open your inventory, find the carrot in it (if you have one), and drop it on the stone near the birch so that the ram sees the carrot and begins to eat it.
Next, you need to hide in the nearby bushes to set up an ambush for the wolves, with the ram serving as bait. For this, an active key, left Alt, should become available, indicating the point you need to reach. There, press the required key to start waiting for the wolves and wild dogs, skipping game time.
What to do with Ignatius next?
After this, a pack of wolves will run out of the forest and attack the ram Ignatius, likely mauling him. You can, of course, try to save him, but success is unlikely on the first attempt.
You have a choice: either kill the wolves, helping the shepherd get rid of the threat, or simply report to him about the pack and lie that you've dealt with them or tell the truth. Killing the wolves at the start can be problematic, so you may die in this fight.
It's best to try a counterattack, and then hit the wolves as soon as they approach you. The main thing is to watch your stamina and ensure the wolves don't flank you, as they attack together.
In any case, upon returning to the shepherd, you will receive a reward, and the quest with the ram Ignatius will be completed.
