There's cooperative play, where you can invite friends, group together, build bases, go into the desert, and battle together. The title features multiple ways for interacting with players and contains communications tools that are easy to use.
Inviting a friend into your game can't get much easier. Go into your character menu and click on the Social button (default button: P). It's where it lists all your Steam friends that have played Dune: Awakening. If the friend you want to invite is currently playing, click on their name and the “Invite to Group” button.
If the player is not your friend on Steam, then you can find them directly using the “Find Player” option and inputting their character name or FuncomID. Once they accept the invite, they'll be added into your friends list and can be invited as a group member.
Invitations appear as chat messages or pop-up notification during the game. Remember, if you and your friend created characters within different sietches (starting settlements), you and your friend will need to create a new character with the same starting conditions so that you can play on the same world together.
Dune: Awakening allows you to invite a friend to your server even if they’re playing on a different one. When the player accepts the invitation, the system teleports them into your world. However, this feature comes with significant limitations:
This is good for short-term co-op play, but for a stable co-op experience, it’s best to start on the same server throughout.
Play with friends on private and public servers, group together, go on journeys across the desert, and endure the unforgiving Arrakis world together.
