Roblox has launched one of its largest events — The Takeover, and at its heart lies Tagtown. This lobby serves as the main hub where teams gather, players show off tricks, and portals to themed areas and games open during the event, which will run until September 22, 2025. If you're not yet familiar with the details of The Takeover and its Tagtown, this guide will fill you in.
What is Tagtown?
Tagtown is the central hub of The Takeover event. Rather than a simple menu or static waiting room, Roblox has transformed this location into a truly interactive playground. It's full of urban street art, interactive zones, and opportunities to meet other players before heading out to challenges in the districts.

What to Find in the Central Zone of Tagtown in The Takeover
Upon entering, you'll find yourself in the central plaza, the heart of Tagtown, where you can meet other players, skateboard, and try out various tricks. By pressing the Q key, you can perform flips, grinds, and combos using the ramps and rails on the map.

Also located in the hub's center is the recruitment center, easily identifiable by the beacon with the sign “Recruit Here.” Here, you can create your own team or join an existing one. Playing in a team is much more rewarding since most of the rewards and tasks are tied to cooperation. Solo players can freely explore the city but miss out on the unique benefits of team play.

The center also features a skatepark where players gather, socialize, and skateboard.

Districts and Portals in The Takeover
Tagtown is divided into four themed districts:
- Adrenaline Heights;
- Competition Park;
- Artists Alley;
- Strat University.
Each will have its own tasks for both solo players and teams.
Portals to these districts will open on September 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM UTC. Until then, countdown timers will be active near them. Once opened, you can complete tasks for Solo Creds and Crew Creds, as well as capture territory as part of the Takeover mechanics.

Exclusive Items in Tagtown
Besides challenges, Tagtown offers a set of premium UGC (user-generated content) items available only during the event. They add style to your avatar and blend seamlessly with the graffiti atmosphere:
- Singularity Skateboard — 84 Robux
- Neon Splattered Street Jacket — 41 Robux
- Grandmark-V — 63 Robux
- Traffic Light Backpack — 84 Robux
- Graffiti Headphones — 105 Robux
These accessories will become collectible mementos of The Takeover event, staying with you even after Tagtown closes.
