The Fortune & Colors event in Marvel Rivals introduces a new exciting in-game currency called Danqing, which is the key to obtaining exclusive rewards: skins, sprays, and nameplates.
Since this event is dedicated to celebrating the Chinese New Year, collecting this special currency is essential for acquiring all rewards, including the coveted Lion’s Mane skin for Star-Lord. If you want to get the most out of this event, here's a detailed guide on how to effectively earn and use Danqing.
What is Danqing?
Danqing is a special event currency introduced in Marvel Rivals during the Chinese New Year event, running from January 23 to February 14, 2025. It is depicted as a bowl of red paint and is used to fill in parts of the event's special illustration. Completing this illustration unlocks exclusive rewards, making Danqing an important resource during this limited-time event.
How to Earn Danqing
1. Event Tasks
The fastest and most reliable way to earn Danqing is to complete event tasks. These tasks are directly related to the event's main mode—Clash of the Dancing Lions, a football competition where teams compete to score as many goals as possible while also using their heroes' abilities. Tasks are updated daily, providing constant opportunities to accumulate Danqing.
Examples of event tasks:
- Complete 3 matches in the Clash of the Dancing Lions mode.
- Intercept the ball three times in one match.
These tasks offer varying amounts of Danqing, so it's important to complete them as soon as they appear.
2. Regular Tasks
In addition to the Fortune & Colors event tasks, some regular game tasks also reward players with Danqing. They are randomly generated and may include goals such as:
- Restore a certain amount of health using characters like Rocket Raccoon or Adam Warlock.
- Deal damage with specific heroes, such as Doctor Strange or Namor.
- Get assists with characters (e.g., Luna Snow or Mantis).
While these tasks do not yield as much Danqing as event tasks, they provide a steady additional stream of currency for players who seek variety in gameplay.
3. Task Refresh
If the current tasks do not suit you, they can be refreshed. Refreshing costs in-game resources and is limited to three attempts at a time, with new refreshes slowly regenerating. Refresh tasks carefully to focus on those that yield Danqing.
4. Purchasing Danqing with Units
Starting February 6, players will be able to use Units (the premium currency of Marvel Rivals) to purchase Danqing. This option allows you to catch up if you're falling behind, but it should only be used as a last resort due to the high value of Units in other aspects of the game.
Tips for Efficient Danqing Collection
To maximize your Danqing farming, follow these tips:
Log in daily to take advantage of the new event tasks. |
Focus on completing tasks and challenges that reward you Danqing (marked with the red paint icon). |
Spend more time in the Clash of the Dancing Lions mode, as this is the main way to acquire currency. |
Save Units for the later stages of the event to purchase Danqing. |
How to Use Danqing
Danqing is used exclusively in the Fortune & Colors event. To spend it:
- Open the event page through the game's main menu.
- Choose the "Paint" option to fill parts of the special illustration.
- Each filled section progresses you in the event's progression bar, unlocking rewards.
This in-game currency allows you to obtain a variety of rewards that will enhance your collection of collectible and cosmetic items in the game.
