Not only will you need to swim to reach certain areas, but you can also dive beneath the sparkling surface to uncover a whole new world filled with unique materials to collect. If you're eager to experience some aquatic adventures, here’s everything you need to know!

How to Unlock Swimming in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

To unlock swimming in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, players must first obtain Flippers. Begin by completing the "Power Up The Gate" quest. Once the gate is open, explore the new area, and upon reaching Spooky Swamp, you'll meet Keroppi. This encounter marks the beginning of your friendship with Keroppi and unlocks the quest "Finding Flippers."

For the "Finding Flippers" quest, you'll need to gather materials to craft the Flippers (x1 Flipper and x1 Strap). You'll receive the Flipper from Keroppi, but you’ll need to find the Strap on your own. To do this, take the left path as you enter the gate, heading north. Climb the hill and make your way to the wooden dock area. There, you'll find a chest containing the Strap!

With these two materials in hand, head to the crafting station to make Flippers! Once you have crafted the item, Flippers is automatically equipped, which means whenever you step into the waters, you'll be able to swim!

How To Unlock Diving in Hello Kitty Island Adventure 

In Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you need to reach Friendship Level 6 with Kuromi to unlock diving. It is a pretty simple goal, as you only need to shower Kuromi with constant gifts to increase the bond of your Friendship.

How To Quickly Boost Friendship Level with Kuromi

If you want to boost your Friendship with Kuromi quickly, gift her the Jack-O-Lantern and Friendship Blossom on top of the daily gifts.

You can craft the Jack-O-Lantern from Pumpkins at the crafting station. If you don't already have the recipe, find and open the chests in Spooky Swamp to obtain the Jack-O-Lantern Crafting Plans.

On the other hand, Friendship Blossom is a material you would have gained earlier on in the game. With these gifts, you will reach Friendship Level 6 with Kuromi in no time! 

How to Dive in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

In the Story Quest: Deep Diving, you need to interact with Kuromi, who will be standing at the dock near the pumpkin house. She will inform you that her Locket has gone missing underwater and ask you to learn diving to help. She will pass you the "Snorkel Plans".

Snorkel is the equipment you need to dive, just like Flippers help you to swim! To craft Snorkel, you need x10 rubber balls, x2 sparks, and x2 ingots.

Rubber balls can be found all around Resort Island. To craft x1 Sparks, you will need x3 light stones. If you don't already have the sparks recipe, complete Pochacco's quest "A Zipline Adventure". 

To craft x1 ingot, you need x3 iron. If you also don't have the crafting recipe for ingots, find it in a barrel on the top left of Gemstone Town. 

With sufficient materials now in hand, head to the crafting station and craft Snorkel! It will automatically be equipped which means you can now swim in waters and dive when you reach deeper parts of the sea. 

How to Dive Longer

After unlocking the diving feature in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you may notice that your character doesn't have enough stamina to stay underwater for long. This can make scouting for materials difficult and extremely time-consuming. 

To improve your stamina, collect plenty of golden apple slices to craft the golden apple. Consuming this fruit will permanently increase your stamina! Other than that, you can collect the mermaid set. Swimming and diving as a mermaid increases your stamina significantly.
