Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time - How To Change Your Appearance

Appearance customization is available in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, but this feature isn’t accessible right from the start. To unlock it, you’ll need to progress through a certain portion of the main storyline.

When Does Appearance Customization Unlock?

To gain access to appearance customization, you must reach at least Chapter 3 of the main quest. After this point, you’ll unlock a location called Base Camp. Here, by completing the story quest titled "Digging Up Secrets of the Past", you’ll meet a character named Boyle, who will allow you to change your appearance.

How to Change Your Character’s Appearance

Speak with Boyle at Base Camp, and use the "Change Appearance" option on him. This will open up the old character creation menu, allowing you to change your appearance, name, and voice. There are no restrictions as to how many times this can be done—you can do it absolutely free, and at any time after it's been unlocked.

What You Can Customize

The appearance editor provides plenty of options for customisation: eye shape and color, shape of the nose and the mouth, eyebrow shape, facial shape, shape of the hair, and shape of the ears (including animal or elf ears). You can also select the voice type of your character. There are also pre-set templates for use, aside from manual customisation.

Changing Outfits

Appearance customization is separate from outfit changes. To change your character’s clothing, use the Outfit menu on your Weird Pad device. Outfit changes are purely cosmetic and do not affect your stats. Each class can store up to 30 gear sets, allowing you to experiment with different looks depending on the situation.

The appearance customization feature in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time isn’t available right away, but once you complete the key story quest, you’ll have full access to the editor. This lets players tailor their character’s look to suit their personal playstyle—without spending any additional resources.
