Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) might seem like a straightforward MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) at first glance, but there are many elements that add layers of complexity to the game. One such thing is the Emblem. ML has various Emblems that you can use on your heroes to provide additional and unique buffs. There are seven types of Emblems, each with different Talents that you can choose.
NOTE: There are Standard Talents and Core Talents. You can only select up to 2 Standard Talents and 1 Core Talent for your hero.
The Emblem system has been a part of the game since its launch in 2016, but it was completely revamped in 2023. Whether you're new to the game or an experienced player, navigating the Emblem system can be challenging.
To make things easier, we’ve put together a comprehensive yet simple Mobile Legends Emblem guide to help you understand all the different Emblem types, their Talents, and which one to choose for your hero. Dive in below!

How to Choose the Best Emblem for Your Hero?
Although Emblems provide a relatively small stat boost compared to items, selecting the right Emblem is crucial for achieving long-term success in the game. The names of the Emblems are fairly straightforward, indicating which roles they cater to, such as Mage or Marksman.
In many cases, you can simply choose the designated Emblem for your hero without much thought and still have a decent game. For example, if you’re playing a Marksman like Miya, selecting the Marksman Emblem is a solid choice.
However, it's important to have a strategy in mind when selecting the ideal Emblem for your hero. If you plan to focus on basic attacks, the Fighter Emblem is a great choice. If you want to dominate the laning phase and snowball, the Mage Emblem might be more suitable.
We recommend identifying your hero's strengths and weaknesses, then choosing the Emblems that best complement those strengths and compensate for any weaknesses. For instance, if you're playing a Support hero with powerful spells but limited escape options, the Support Emblem could be ideal. It not only provides high Cooldown Reduction but also boosts Movement Speed, making it the perfect choice for enhancing your hero's mobility and utility.
How to Choose the Best Talent for Your Hero?
Choosing the right Talent can also have a significant impact on your performance in the long run. One of the most popular Talents is Lethal Ignition, which belongs to the Mage Emblem. This Talent activates when you deal more than 7% of an enemy’s maximum HP three times in a row, causing the target to receive additional Adaptive Damage. It’s especially effective for heroes with high burst damage and low cooldown spells.
Ultimately, selecting the right Talent depends on your playstyle. For example, if you prefer to hunt solo, choose a Talent that benefits you when you're facing a single enemy, such as the Master Assassin Talent from the Assassin Emblem. If you plan to spend a lot of time roaming through the Jungle or River, consider choosing a Talent like Wilderness Blessing from the Common Emblem, which boosts your movement speed in those areas.

Strengths and Weaknesses of Each Emblems
Each Emblem in ML has its own set of perks and benefits, but also comes with its drawbacks. Among all the Emblems, the Assassin Emblem is the most popular due to its valuable stats. However, this doesn’t mean it’s the best choice for every hero you play.
To help you choose the right Emblem for your hero, we've outlined the strengths and weaknesses of each one below.
Emblem Type | Strength | Weakness |
Common Emblem | Great sustain benefit with the HP boost and HP Regen increment. You don't have to Recall a lot and spend more time during laning or fights. | Low Attack Damage Bonus that makes it a not so popular choice among damage dealers. |
Tank Emblem | The ideal Emblem for front liners who primarily focus on absorbing damage and staying alive. | Terrible Movement Speed and Damage. |
Assassin Emblem | High damage that can obliterate late game scenarios. Provides you speed and flexibility. | Provides no sustain and may make your hero fragile. No Regen buffs so you might need to Recall often. |
Mage Emblem | High early game damage that lets you win lanes and snowball. Has great Cooldown Reduction for those that rely on spells. | Impact declines in the late game. |
Fighter Emblem | The go-to for Spell Vamp so it's great for damage dealer heroes with high-burst spells. Great for sustain while farming and fighting. | No HP or HP Regen bonuses that can make your hero more fragile than others. No movement speed buffs. |
Support Emblem | High healing amplifications, great to support allies or self-heal. Provides a high Cooldown Reduction, great for spell-reliant heroes. Movement Speed bonus helps to chase or escape. | No HP or HP Regen bonuses that can make your hero more fragile than others. |
Marksman Emblem | Allows you to dish out very high damage without relying on spells. Great for damage dealers and tower hitters. | Weaker damage compared to the Assassin Emblem. A relatively small lifesteal and Adaptive Attack bonus. |
Suitable Heroes for Each Emblem

Mobile Legends features hundreds of heroes, many of which share similar qualities and roles. As a result, pairing the right Emblems with heroes can be straightforward once you understand which heroes work well with specific Emblems. Here are some examples of effective hero-Emblem pairings in MLBB:
- Common Emblem: Claude and Carrie
- Tank Emblem: Gatotkaca and Johnson
- Assassin Emblem: Zilong and Layla
- Magic Emblem: Aamon and Karina
- Fighter Emblem: Ruby and Alpha
- Support Emblem: Angela and Lolita
- Marksman Emblem: Miya and Carrie
Are There Any New Emblems in MLBB?
The new Emblem ML system was implemented in June 2023, but MOONTON has definitely made the concept easy to grasp. So far, there hasn’t been any new Emblems released after the massive overhaul.

Community's Thoughts
Emblems, one of the oldest features in MLBB, have long been considered a core aspect of the game. Players frequently take to social media to discuss the best Emblems for their favorite heroes and share tips with the community.
A Reddit user noted that Emblems are "really crucial for CERTAIN heroes," while another stated, "In the early game, Emblems often determine who dies first in a 1v1."
Conclusion
If you're still unsure about which Emblem to choose, it's safest to start with the designated Emblem for your hero. As you play, you'll gain a better understanding of your hero's needs and gradually discover which Emblem and Talent best complement your playstyle. One common mistake is overthinking your choices, which can lead to poor decisions. Remember, it's important to play at your own pace and learn over time—it takes practice to master any aspect of the game!
