Collector Skins in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) are among the most exclusive sets in the game. Published by MOONTON, these skins are designed to stand out with exclusive looks, animations, and effects. Typically, a new Collector Skin is released every month, often featuring a different hero. However, acquiring these exclusive skins isn't as simple as purchasing basic skins.

What is a Collector Skin in MLBB?

Since July 2020, MOONTON has been releasing monthly Collector Skins. These skins are rare and enhance specific heroes with special visual upgrades, complete with unique effects and animations. Compared to basic skins, Collector Skins are flashier and more exciting.

Do note that there have been months when MOONTON did not release a Collector Skin. At the time of writing (February 2025), the current Collector Skin event is Terizla's "Soulblight Tyrant". Looking ahead, the next Collector Skin, Floryn's "Melody of Light", is scheduled for release in March 2025.

How to Get Collector Skins in MLBB?

There are two methods to obtain Collector Skins in MLBB:

1. Grand Collection Event

The main way to obtain Collector Skins is through the Grand Collection event. To access this event, click the button located underneath your profile photo while on the main menu. Currently, the button displays an XX logo in celebration of the HunterxHunter collaboration. It will eventually change to a cube symbol, which will take you directly to the Grand Collection page.

Within the Grand Collection event, you can perform draws using Diamonds, Grand Collection Tokens, or Crystal of Aurora. These are the only currencies accepted to participate in the event draws. The main prize for these draws is the Collector Skin of the month, but the pool also includes two former Collector Skins as well as skins of Special, Elite, and Basic rarities.

While there is a slim chance of earning a Collector Skin as a free-to-play (F2P) player, the odds are extremely low. As such, most players will need to invest in recharging their Diamonds or other currencies to make enough draws for a higher likelihood of obtaining the skin.

2. Gacha Events

The second method of obtaining Collector Skins is through occasional gacha events. MOONTON sometimes introduces gacha-type events, such as the Mistbender event, which includes former Collector Skins in the prize pool. However, as with any gacha system, the outcome heavily relies on luck. You might end up spending more (or less) to get the Collector Skin you want.
