Dragonflight PvP Season 4 Guide: Top Tips & Rewards

Season 4 of World of Warcraft Dragonflight has begun, which means that we have some more interesting content ahead of us before the release of the new expansion called The War Within. This guide for PvP in WoW Season 4 is aimed at familiarising you with the features of the current PvP content: equipment, leveling system, rewards, and other nuances.

The best classes for PvP in Dragonflight

Demon Hunter

One of the most popular and best DPS melee characters for PvP and PvE, the Demon Hunter is best suited for Havoc specialisation. The toolkit for playing him is quite wide, and most importantly, easy to learn, which makes this character quite light and powerful in the hands of the player, especially due to the dynamic rotation of his attack and support abilities. Spectral Sight allows the demon hunter to see opponents through obstacles, which makes it possible to track your target and not lose it during a duel, or at least prevent the enemy from attacking you suddenly. One of the key abilities behind DH's power is Metamorphosis, which transforms the hero into a stronger entity that can deal with more DPS. Fel Rush and Vengeful Retreat provide the hero with mobility, allowing him to take a comfortable and advantageous position and change tactics during PvP. With the right build, Demon Hunter can be a great tank that is the best of the season. Therefore, if DH is your favourite class, or you have not played it before, you should try it.

Evoker

This is a new class in World of Warcraft that came out with the addition of Dragonflight and its new race. This class has proved to be quite worthy thanks to the flexibility that allows you to switch between dealing damage and healing, depending on the needs on the battlefield. The Living Flame ability is capable of dealing damage or healing to a target, depending on whether it is an ally or an enemy. Draktiras can improve individual abilities to maximise their effects, buffs, damage, and healing. Another key ability is Fire Breath, which can hit several enemies in front of you at once, which is especially useful in group PvP. Obsidian Scales provides a huge increase in defence by reducing incoming damage, which allows you to survive complex enemy attacks or spells.

Priest

If you're looking for a good class to play the role of a healer, Priest is the best choice in this regard. Like the Evoker, the priest has some abilities whose effect depends on the target, which allows him to use them in PvP to damage the enemy or heal himself or an ally in a duel. Psychic Scream can disrupt enemy positioning, as it is a great crowd control tool that allows you to escape from enemy tactics. To survive powerful enemy abilities, the priest has Power Word: Shield, which can absorb enemy damage. Greater Fade guarantees you invincibility for a short period, which is great for surviving the most difficult PvP scenarios. The most important task of a priest is to keep your distance and control the use of your abilities so that you don't lose important buttons in a situation.

Equipment for PvP in Dragonflight

In World of Warcraft Dragonflight, we have four types of PvP equipment available.

  1. Crafted armour with a maximum of 502 ilvl.
  2. Honour armour — PvP equipment of a lower level (454–515 ilvl), which can be purchased for honour points from the Seltherex vendor.
  3. Conquest armour — PvP equipment of the highest level (493–528 ilvl), which can be purchased for conquest points from the Calderax seller.

The cost of armour depends on its type, for example:

  • head, chest, and leg armour costs 875 Conquest Points;
  • shoulder pads, gloves, and feet — 700;
  • cloaks, bracelets, rings, belts — 500;
  • one-handed weapons — from 900 to 1350;
  • secondary weapons — 450;
  • two-handed weapons — 1800;
  • other small things — 575–700 points of conquests.

Master Emberath can offer you blue equipment that can be purchased for blood tokens. Equipment of the same type, but of epic quality, starts at 463 ilvl and can be purchased in Malicia for Trophy of Strife and blood tokens. These items can be upgraded to level 525 and above.

All types of PvP equipment can be upgraded through Flightstones and Dreaming Crests, which can be obtained by completing various activities: quests, raids and dungeons, weekly tasks, and PvP battles. However, this equipment levelling system is aimed at increasing the PvE level of an item, not the PvP level. To improve PvP and raise the required level of equipment, you should visit Corxian in the Valdrakken location. He can be found near the Elite Conquest Quartermaster.

In the new Season 4 of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, it became necessary to use special reagents to improve high-ranked items, as well as those created with the help of professions. One of these reagents is Spark of Awakening. Using this component allows you to increase the level of an item to 499 ilvl. To further increase the maximum ilvl threshold of your equipment, from 499 to 512 or from 509 to 522, you can use Enchanted Wyrm's Awakened Crest or Enchanted Aspect's Awakened Crest. Spark of Awakening can be obtained by completing weekly quests. It is worth noting that the items created at the beginning may be less powerful than in the previous season.
