Bonny Gaol — a relatively simple dungeon from the Shadow of Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring. In this location, you can find some useful resources, but the best loot will be the Night's equipment set and a spirit summon obtained after defeating the boss.
In this guide, we will walk you through the entire dungeon to ensure you don’t miss anything and complete it 100%.
Where to Find Bonny Gaol Dungeon
Travel to the Bonny Village Site of Grace. For easier travel, summon Torrent. Move between the houses in the village and cross the wooden suspension bridge. Run straight through the barricades and scorpion enemies, turn right, and you will see the entrance to Bonny Gaol dungeon.
Bonny Gaol Dungeon Walkthrough
Upon entering the dungeon, activate the Site of Grace as usual to respawn here in case of death. Turn right and go through the tunnel. At the exit, you will face a precipice, so proceed carefully to avoid falling. Turn right and descend the slope. Once you reach the bottom, turn right and go through the door. In this cave, kill a living corpse, a monster that will emerge from a pot, and collect Frozen Maggot x8.
Exit the room and continue, killing another mutated monster along the way. If you wish, you can kill a living corpse in the room on the right, but there’s nothing interesting there, so you can skip it.
Look down, and you will see pots hanging on chains. Descend them to the lower platform. In the adjacent room, there will be a living corpse and Frozen Maggot x1. Exit the room and head to the next one. A mutated monster will jump out from there, so be cautious not to be knocked off the ledge. In the middle of the room, another monster will emerge from a pot; kill it or run past and pick up Hefty Cracked Pot.
Exit the room, go to the edge of the platform on the other side, and step on the button that will lower the pot on chains so you can ascend it. Jump to the platform you previously descended from and go to the room with cages you haven’t visited yet. There, several shadowy corpses will attack you, and you can collect Bolt x10 from the corpse on the chair.
How to Obtain Stalwart Horn Charm +2
Open the door on the left and proceed. Kill two shadowy corpses in the room and jump into the shaft. At the bottom, you can immediately collect Broken Rune. While traversing the catacombs, kill several small and one large rat. On the right side of the tunnel, there is a dead-end passage where you can collect four Smithing Stone [2]. Exit and continue down the tunnel and climb the ladder.
Kill the monster that emerges from the pot and pick up Stalwart Horn Charm +2 in the same room. Jump down from here, and exit the room. You will see that you have been here before, so go through the room with cages again and jump into the shaft.
This time, go to the opposite side of the shaft straight until you reach its end, where you will collect a Broken Rune. Beware of black slime blobs that will drop from the ceiling. After grabbing the item, turn back and follow the tunnel, sticking to the right side to find a passage you haven’t been to yet. At the fork, first turn left to pick up Invigorating Cured Meat, then go straight and descend.
How to Obtain Lost Ashes of War
On the way, stick to the left side, where you will encounter a living enemy pot, and near it by the grate will be a Broken Rune. Further along the path, defeat several small and large pots. On the right, on a pile of corpses and bones, will be Lost Ashes of War. Continue through the cave until you descend a bit more.
Near one of the hanging pots will be Innard Meat, and a monster will emerge nearby. Along the way, you will meet a few more of these monsters, one of which will sit in a broken pot containing Raw Meat Dumpling.
Head to the next room, kill or ignore the enemy along the way, and descend the stairs. On the left, there will be a small room with Silver Horn Tender.
How to Obtain Night's Armor Set
Proceed further, killing or bypassing shadowy corpses, open the grated door, and jump onto the hanging pot, which will lower initially and then rise higher. Jump off the pot onto a ledge and collect the armor set (Helm of Night, Armor of Night, Gauntless of Night, Greaves of Night) from the corpse on the guillotine. Climb the stairs and kill the monster in the passage. Near the edge of the precipice, pick up Shield of Night.
How to Reach the Boss of Curseblade Labyrinth
Return to the lift-pot that brought you here. Climb it and descend onto the bridge. Kill two pot monsters along the way or run past them and continue, descending further.
Continue your path, picking up Frozen Maggot from the ground and killing a couple more enemies. Descend the stairs, turn right, and you will see the gate leading to the boss Curseblade Labyrinth.
Fight with Curseblade Labyrinth
Curseblade Labyrinth is a straightforward yet challenging boss in Bonny Gaol dungeon. It is not very durable, and with various consumables, it can be killed in 5–6 hits. However, the main difficulty is its high agility and attack speed.
As soon as you enter the arena, the boss will cast a dark mist that dims the lighting, making it harder to see. Since the boss itself is a dark shadow, spotting it becomes more challenging, giving it an advantage. Therefore, you should look closely or use a torch.
The boss’s rapid strikes can deal significant damage in a short time. Try to dodge its attacks with rolls until Curseblade Labyrinth exhausts its attack series, allowing you to strike back. If you need more information on the boss fight, refer to our guide.
Defeating this boss will grant you 100,000 runes, necessary for purchases or character upgrades, and the spirit summon Curseblade Meera. With this, the dungeon is completed, and you can move on to the next one.
