There are many spiritual successors or clones of popular games in Roblox. In particular, you can find numerous projects whose style and gameplay resemble Dead by Daylight. A fresh DbD imitator called Bite by Night has now appeared on the horizon. Since the game is very new, it currently has limited content, but it looks quite solid within Roblox. It's no surprise that it has started attracting more and more players.
If you've never played Dead by Daylight or similar games in Roblox, this guide will provide everything you need to get acquainted with Bite by Night and its mechanics.
Roblox Bite by Night Overview
At the start of each match, your role is randomly determined: you will play as either a survivor or a killer. Most of the time, you will be a survivor, as the chance of getting the killer role is quite low unless you have a Premium Pass.
As in Dead by Daylight, the rules of the game are simple: the killer's task is to kill all players before they can escape. For players, the task is the opposite — to survive by completing tasks with generators or batteries before the designated time.

Each match lasts until 6 AM (game time), but reaching this time does not mean automatic victory. Once the clock strikes 6:00, an exit appears somewhere on the map, and you can reach it to escape.

Bite by Night Main Lobby
You start the game in the lobby, where you have access to the shop, settings, inventory, and other features unavailable during the match.
In the lobby, you can prepare for the next game, play the "Snake" minigame, or simply pass the time while waiting.

All Survivor Classes in Bite by Night
Currently, Bite by Night offers four survivor classes, each starting the game with the same characteristics (except for the medic, who has 90 HP instead of 100). Here is a list of all classes:
- Customer — A basic and simple class; has a pizza that restores health and a drink that allows for longer running, but slows down for a while afterward.
- Medic — Allows healing of allies and oneself, as well as applying additional protection to increase survivability in the match.
- Fighter — Currently the only class that can fight back against the killer, stunning them with an axe blow, and can deflect enemy attacks to block potential damage.
- Security Guard — Equipped with a taser that slows the killer and can use cameras to track the location of other players, providing useful information during the match.

Tasks in Bite by Night
There are only two types of tasks in Bite by Night:
1. Repairing Generators
Players need to find broken generators and repair them. To do this:
- Press F next to the generator.
- Connect the sockets with the corresponding colors opposite.
- Turn on all buttons on the left side so they light up red.
- Rhythmically pull and release the lever until the green bar fills up.
Each generator requires you to complete four mini-games with sockets and plugs!

2. Deliver the Batteries
With batteries, you'll have to perform a different task — it significantly differs from interacting with generators:
- Look for batteries on the map and hold T next to them to pick them up.
- Head to the panel where the battery needs to be inserted.
- Press and hold T next to the required location to insert the battery.
Note: while carrying batteries, you cannot run or use your abilities. Therefore, if a killer is nearby, drop the battery by pressing X.

Other Important Mechanics of Bite by Night
Aside from the main mechanics related to the objectives of both sides (killers need to kill players, and survivors need to repair generators or install batteries), there are several additional mechanics that help balance the game and increase players' chances of survival.
One such mechanic is barricades. Some doors can be blocked by holding the F key next to them and launching a mini-game where you need to keep the pointer in the center of the circle to keep the door locked.

When the killer starts breaking the doors, a white indicator appears. When it begins to decrease, move the cursor closer to the center. If the indicator drops below half, the door will break, and you will be stunned for about two seconds.
During a chase, barricades help recover stamina — they provide a short time to catch your breath. If there's a medic on the other side of the door, they can safely heal themselves while you hold the door.
