Avowed features a flexible class system that lets players shape their character to fit their preferred playstyle. Whether you want to stand tall as an unstoppable warrior, master the arcane arts, or rain arrows from afar, each class offers unique advantages. While all three core classes,Fighter, Wizard, and Ranger are well-balanced, some might have a slight edge depending on the situation.

With that in mind, here’s our class tier list for Avowed:
Tier | Class |
S+ | Fighter |
S | Wizard |
A | Ranger |
S+ Tier: Fighter
The Fighter is considered the best class in Avowed when it comes to reliability. Both new and veteran players will appreciate the Fighter’s mix of raw strength, unmatched durability, and powerful survivability. Skills like Toughness and Constant Recovery enable the player to endure these unforgiving early games as they progress with ease. By the later stages of the game, however, the fighter becomes an unstoppable force thanks to skills such as Devastating Criticals and Barbaric Shout.
At level 15, fighters gain a bear companion that actively assists from combat which gives the player yet another crucial edge. When it comes to close quarters fighting and sustaining damage, the fighter will always be the best option available.

S Tier: Wizard
With regard to dealing damage to enemies, the Wizard does seem like an appealing option. They utilize numerous spells which enable them to inflict a tremendous amount of damage from long distances. This class is however very susceptible to being attacked directly which means that strategic planning is required.
Abilities like Minor Missiles and Chill Blades allow the player to inflict heavy damage from a distance. At higher levels, players are able to use other spells that control the entire battlefield as well. It has also been observed that specializing in Frost abilities while levelling up is a cherry on top. Aside from dealing high damage, frost specialization also allows the caster to hinder the enemy’s movements.
The con of the frost specialization is that it lacks durability so accuracy while attacking and moving is imperative. If you wish to indulge in spell casting while using tactical strategies, this class will not disappoint.

A Tier: Ranger
While not as strong as the other two classes, a ranger is certainly capable of dealing substantial damage and having various uses. Rangers are proficient at dealing with enemies from a distance using bows and arrows. Time is slowed down when an archer attempts to aim for an enemy in the distance because of the ability to Steady Aim which is available from level one.
Rangers have melee attacks as well making them an excellent hybrid class. To top it off, these ranger class players also get the standard bear pet which allows the ranger to play more aggressively, unlike traditional ranged fighters. Unlike the more simple Fighter or Wizard classes, Rangers do require adequate positioning and an eye for detail to maximize their prowess, perhaps making them more tricky to master, but certainly not any less enjoyable.

While the Fighter stands at the top due to its sheer survivability and ease of use, the Wizard and Ranger remain strong contenders. The Wizard boasts the highest damage potential but requires careful play, while the Ranger offers versatility and ranged expertise. Ultimately, all three classes are viable, so pick the one that best matches your preferred playstyle!
