Anime Squadron Garu Guide

Looking to add another character to your lineup of powerful units for Anime Squadron? Then you should definitely consider Garu, as he's truly one of the best heroes to enhance your roster.

How to Obtain Garu in Anime Squadron

Garu can be obtained in Anime Squadron only by participating in the Hero Hunter Challenge. With each completion, you have a 1% chance to acquire him, but the reward is only available after finishing the Challenge map on normal difficulty. At this stage, Trait Shards and EXP points may also drop.

Like Baras, Garu has a guarantee system after 100 completions. This means even if luck isn't on your side, you're assured to get this unit after 100 completions of the Hero Hunter Challenge.

Overview of Garu's Abilities and Skills (Half Monster) in Anime Squadron

Garu is one of the most reliable units in the Anime Squadron lineup, mainly because of how hard he is to take down. When he should die, he can instead regenerate HP and activate several powerful boosts. He also turns stun effects into an advantage: every time an enemy tries to stun him, Garu enhances the defense of the nearest ally.

Below are Garu's passive skills (Half Monster) in Anime Squadron:

Brink of Death

Garu survives a lethal hit and instead of dying, restores 10% HP. If he's not finished off within the next 3 seconds, all Garu on the battlefield receive several boosts. These bonuses include +15% Accuracy, -15% Cooldown, and the ability to apply Corruption for 5 seconds, dealing 5% damage per tick. Each Garu can stack these bonuses up to 3 times.

Reflect

Garu is immune to stunning. When a stun should affect him, he converts it into a buff for the nearest ally, increasing that unit's DEF by 10%. The enemy who attempted to stun Garu also takes a hit at 65% of Garu's base damage.

Prolonging

After Garu hits the same enemy three times, that enemy becomes Marked for 10 seconds. The Marked timer refreshes each time the target takes another three hits, but the effect itself does not stack. Enemies with the Marked status take an additional +5% damage from Corruption per tick, and the debuff duration increases by 5 seconds.

Hero Hunter

Garu's attacks deal +15% damage for each status effect currently active on the enemy. If the target has the Marked status, this bonus increases to +20% damage for each status effect.
