All Starting Room Challenge Rewards in Black Ops 6 Zombies

In Black Ops 6 Zombies, with the Season 4 Reloaded update, a new limited-time mode has been introduced — Starting Room Challenge. This challenge invites players to stay in the starting room on one of five maps, survive as long as possible, and earn unique rewards.

What Is Starting Room Challenge?

Starting Room Challenge is a special mode where players cannot purchase doors or leave the initial area of the map. You must fight waves of zombies using only what’s available in the first room. It’s similar to classic challenges from past entries in the series, where coordination, map knowledge, and efficient use of limited resources are key.

Rewards for Completion

Players can earn the following rewards by reaching a specific round on each map:

  • One Ultra GobbleGum, unique to each map
  • Five random GobbleGums
  • 15,000 XP

These rewards can only be claimed once per map while the mode is active.

Required Rounds to Unlock Rewards on Each Map

Different maps have specific round requirements for unlocking the rewards:

  • Terminus — Reach Round 30, reward: Hidden Power GobbleGum
  • Liberty Falls — Reach Round 40, reward: Time Out GobbleGum
  • Citadelle des Morts — Reach Round 40, reward: Reign Drops GobbleGum
  • The Tomb — Reach Round 40, reward: Near Death Experience GobbleGum
  • Shattered Veil — Reach Round 40, reward: Wonderbar! GobbleGum

It’s important to note that only items present in the starting room by default are available for use. For example, The Tomb’s starting area already includes a Pack-A-Punch machine, while Terminus does not.

Pick maps with larger starting areas to give yourself more space for dodging zombies and moving around tactically. The Tomb and Shattered Veil are especially recommended because their starting rooms are noticeably bigger than on other maps. This extra space makes it easier to survive longer, especially in higher rounds.

Use all machines available in the starting room. If there’s a Pack-A-Punch, Arsenal, or Der Wunderfizz in your zone, take advantage of them. These machines allow you to upgrade weapons, get extra perks, or obtain useful equipment, which significantly improves your chances of survival.

Make sure that you have your GobbleGums and loadout ready even before the match begins. You can’t, after all, acquire or change gear once the game has started under Starting Room mode, so you must have everything ready ahead of time from pre-game selection. This way, you go into the match prepared for anything that might come your way.
