All Shadow of the Erdtree Fists Overview

The DLC Shadow of the Erdtree for Elden Ring introduces several new items, including weapons that can enhance your hero builds and allow for different gameplay approaches. Alternatively, you might want to collect all the weapons in the game to satisfy your collector's instincts.

One category of weapons that received new additions is fist weapons. Though there aren't many, this guide will cover them and how to obtain each one.

Pata

Imagine a weapon that combines the brute force of a fist with the sharpness of a blade. This weapon exists in Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree and is known as Pata – a formidable weapon used by Oathseeker Knights.

Despite being worn on the fist, its linear double-edged blade allows it to function like a sword. This versatility makes it an interesting choice for many, not only for its effectiveness, but also for the cool factor of wielding dual Pata weapons.

To wield Pata, you need 11 Strength and 15 Dexterity. It’s a fast weapon with base damage of 104 and comes with the skill "Impaling Thrust," which easily pierces enemy shields. This skill costs 9 FP and is especially useful against shielded foes.

Pata can be upgraded to +25 using standard smithing stones, significantly increasing its damage and effectiveness in combat. You can also infuse it with other ashes of war and apply temporary enchantments with magic or consumables to further enhance its capabilities.

You can find this weapon in front of the Church of Benediction on the western part of Gravesite Plain. To get there, start from the Cliffroad Terminus site of grace. Follow the dirt path southeast through a wooded area filled with electric sheep, then turn southwest and follow the cliff edge south.

After passing several rats and a short tunnel guarded by a masked enemy, you'll reach the church. The Pata, along with the Oathseeker Knight gear, is found on a corpse opposite the church.

Poisoned Hand

For those who prefer a more devious approach to combat, the Poisoned Hand is an excellent choice. This unique fist weapon is made from the flayed skin of its victims and inflicts deadly poison on enemies. It’s a lightweight weapon, weighing only 1.0, making it ideal for dexterity builds. With base damage of 76 and a poison buildup attribute of 36, it becomes very effective, especially when used correctly.

The Poisoned Hand scales with Strength (E) and Arcane (C), and at +10 it reaches an A scaling in Arcane. This makes the Poisoned Hand an excellent choice for characters focusing on arcane attributes. The ash of war – Poison Spear-Hand Strike – cannot be changed, but it is incredibly powerful.

This skill allows you to thrust your hand into the enemy, dealing significant poison damage. It costs 13 FP and cannot be followed up with consecutive attacks, but its speed and low FP cost make it ideal for inflicting periodic damage, especially against bosses.

To find the Poisoned Hand, head to the Well Depths area in Belurat, Tower Settlement. First, locate the Well Depths key under a rug on the roof of a grave bird's house. Travel to this area from the Private Altar site of grace, descend, and enter the wall opening to find the key.

Then, proceed to the well in the residential area of Belurat, near the arch-shaped doors and a group of shadowy living dead praying near a fountain. Descend the well ladder, unlock the iron grate with the key, and move through the poisonous green sludge until you reach a partially submerged building. There, by a corpse, you’ll find the Poisoned Hand.

Madding Hand

If you are drawn to driving enemies mad, the Madding Hand is just what you need. This glove, made from the skin of heretics, causes madness in enemies and increases your attack power when the madness effect triggers nearby.

The unique skill “Madding Spear-Hand Strike” transforms your hands into spears, allowing you to pierce enemies and inflict significant madness status. This skill costs 13 FP and, like the Poisoned Hand’s skill, cannot be followed by subsequent attacks.

The Madding Hand can be upgraded to +10 with Somber Smithing Stones, but it cannot be changed with ashes of war. To obtain this weapon, you must defeat an enemy named Madding Hand, located south of the Woodland Trail site of grace in Abyssal Woods.

This area can be reached from the end of the Darklight Catacombs dungeon, southeast of Scadu Altus. Follow the dirt path south from the Woodland Trail site of grace, and after a short journey, you will encounter Madding Hand. Defeating this formidable foe will grant you the Madding Hand weapon.

Golem Fist

For those who prefer brute, relentless force, the Golem Fist is an excellent choice. This giant fist, made from cracked stone taken from a golem's body in a ruined forge, is a rare item dropped by Golem Smiths in Taylew’s Ruined Forge. It is located in the Land of the Tower region, in the Realm of Shadow.

To reach Taylew’s Ruined Forge, cross the bridge from Shadow Keep to the Ancient Ruins of Rauh. Activate the Ancient Ruins Base site of grace at the lowest level of this region. If you haven’t found it yet, go through the tunnel northeast of Moorth Ruins and continue northwest through a second tunnel. From there, head northeast and ascend the path to enter the wooded area. Continue north until you see Taylew’s Ruined Forge.

Inside the forge, you’ll find Golem Smiths, who are resistant to physical damage and have high health. To defeat them more easily, use alternative damage types such as fire, lightning, or holy damage, or effects such as bleeding and frostbite.

The Golem Fist has a low drop chance. Therefore, to increase your chances of obtaining this item, raise your discovery stat with a high arcane attribute or equip the Silver Scarab talisman.
