The third season of PGL Wallachia has once again proven that in Dota 2, nothing is impossible. The tournament brought unexpected results, triumphs, and bitter disappointments. Team Liquid, who hadn't achieved much in 2025, surprised everyone by winning the championship. Meanwhile, Team Spirit, considered the main favorites, couldn't handle the challenges and left the tournament earlier than expected.
Unexpected Triumph

The main revelation was Team Liquid, who unexpectedly won the championship. Before this, they participated in three international tournaments this year but never placed higher than seventh. However, in this tournament, the team demonstrated consistent play, resilience, and the ability to adapt to their opponents.
During the group stage, Liquid didn't always look flawless, but in the playoffs, they pulled together and began to show championship-level play. They defeated Gaimin Gladiators, and then Team Falcons, who were once one of their most challenging opponents. In the grand final, Team Liquid faced Tundra Esports and secured a 3:1 victory, showcasing an aggressive playstyle that their opponent couldn't withstand.
The victory at PGL Wallachia Season 3 was the first for the team since TI 2024. This trophy restores Team Liquid's status as one of the scene's leaders.
The Tournament's Main Disappointment

One of the main favorites of PGL Wallachia Season 3, Team Spirit, unexpectedly performed much worse than expected. They arrived in Bucharest as the leading contender for the title but failed to show consistent play. In the playoffs, Spirit encountered problems when they lost to Team Falcons, who hadn't seemed threatening due to their loss of form. The defeat was shocking, but there was a chance to rectify the situation in the lower bracket.
There, Spirit faced Tundra Esports, who played confidently and aggressively. Despite the efforts of Yatoro and the team, Tundra managed to impose their game tempo and closed the series in their favor. As a result, Spirit left the tournament without reaching the expected final.

Tundra's Last Run with dyrachyo

The PGL Wallachia Season 3 tournament was the last for Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov as part of Tundra Esports. This was announced by the team's coach in an interview with the tournament operator PGL between drafts.
The main reason for his departure might be dyrachyo's desire to start a streaming career or simply fatigue from frequent tournaments, as the team played four tournaments in a row, winning two and placing second in the last two. Although there are no official statements regarding his replacement, potential candidates include Crystallis, who is currently on the bench for PARIVISION.
Regarding Tundra's performance in the tournament – they reached the finals. However, in the decisive match against Team Liquid, they couldn't handle the opponents' aggressive style and lost 1:3.
The loss of dyrachyo marks the beginning of a new phase for Tundra Esports. They will need to quickly find a player mid-season who can not only fill the carry position but also fit into the overall team dynamic. We'll learn about the updated roster soon.
PGL Wallachia Season 3 proved that in professional Dota 2, nothing can be predicted in advance. Team Liquid made a breakthrough and proved they can compete at the highest level, while Team Spirit reminded everyone that even the best can face challenges. Upcoming tournaments will show whether the favorites can regain their leading positions.
