Group stage results — The International 2024
FELIXOn September 5, the group stage of The International 2024 in Dota 2 concluded. As a result, the leading teams will have the right to choose their opponents for the next matches among those who ranked much lower in the standings. The best performance came from Team Spirit, who did not lose a single match.
Group A
The leader of Group A was Xtreme Gaming, with a total score of 5 wins and 1 loss. The next spot was taken by Gaimin Gladiators with a score of 3-3. The other two teams, 1W Team and HEROIC, each won two out of six games.
Group B
In Group B, the leader was Cloud9, winning 5 matches and losing one game against Tundra Esports, who secured second place after the group stage, overtaking G2xiG. The worst result belonged to Talon Esports, with 5 lost maps.
Group C
A tiebreaker occurred between Team Falcons and Team Zero for the first place. As a result, Team Falcons managed to secure the top spot. BB Team and nouns did not perform well, finishing with 2–4 records, taking third and fourth places, respectively.
Group D
In this group, and throughout the group stage, the best performance came from Team Spirit, who won every match. Team Liquid followed in second place, unable to overcome Team Spirit on either of the two maps. Next was Aurora, with a 2–4 record. The worst result of the group stage belonged to beastcoast, who failed to win any of their six games.
TI13 Group Stage Hero Statistics
- The most popular hero during the group stage was Sniper, selected 23 times. However, his win rate was not the best — only 30.43% (7 wins, 16 losses). Other popular heroes included Kunnka, Windranger, and Dragon Knight, each picked 20 times, with Mirana in fifth place, being selected 17 times.
- In terms of pick frequency and win-loss ratio, Kunnka performed the best, with a win rate of 60%. Among heroes with a 100% win rate but lower pick rates, notable ones include Earth Spirit and Lion (each winning four matches) and Viper (winning three matches).
- The hero with the highest ban rate in the group stage was Naga Siren, banned 40 times. She appeared in eight games, of which six were victories and two were losses (75% win rate).
- In the pick-to-ban ratio, the most popular hero was Enchantress. She was picked 16 times, with 7 wins and 9 losses (43.75% win rate), and banned 34 times.
TI13 Group Stage Match and Player Statistics
- The longest match in the group stage of TI13 was between Aurora Gaming and Team Spirit, lasting 57 minutes.
- The shortest match in this year's The International 2024 group stage lasted 15 minutes, involving G2xiG and Tundra Esports.
- Team Spirit was the only team not to lose a single map.
- Beastcoast was the only team not to win a single map.
- Raddan (Yatoro) from Team Spirit became one of the best players in the group stage. He has a 100% win rate based on six matches, the highest KDA (16.86), GPM (807), XPM (932), and the lowest death rate (1.17).
