Pets in Grow a Garden each has a unique trait that helps you in your gardening journey. Some pets double the chance of plants growing a variant fruit or can dig to give you seeds, sheckles and gear while others increases player’s movement speed and turn random fruits golden.

The Blood Moon Event added a lot of new seeds, eggs and plant mutations to the game. One of the eggs added is a Mythical Egg, which grants you a chance to get one of five new pets. In this article, we’ve listed down all the new pets and their traits to help you decide which pet is best suited for you.

Mythical Egg Pets and their Traits

The five pets that can be obtained through a Mythical Egg are Grey Mouse, Brown Mouse, Squirrel, Red Giant Ant and Red Fox.

Grey Mouse

• Chance of Hatching: 35.71%
• Hunger: 5,500,000
• Trait: gains 500 bonus experience every 10 minutes, increase player’s movement speed by 10%
• Pros: can be used to get extra egg slots and pet equips
• Cons: worse than Brown Mouse, becomes useless once the player is done getting extra egg slots and pet equips, not the best pet to get from a rare and expensive egg 

Brown Mouse

• Chance of Hatching: 26.79%
• Hunger: 15,000
• Trait: gains 750 bonus experience every 8 minutes, increase player’s jump height by 10%
• Pros: better than Brown Mouse, can be used to get extra egg slots and pet equips, increases jump height
• Cons: becomes useless once the player is done getting extra egg slots and pet equips, not the best pet to get from a rare and expensive egg 

Squirrel

• Chance of Hatching: 26.79%
• Hunger: 15,000
• Trait: grants 2.5% chance of keeping a seed when planting (duplicate a seed, essentially), with the chance decreasing for rarer seeds
• Pros: useful for duplicating seeds, especially rare seeds
• Cons: the chance of keeping seeds is very low 

Red Giant Ant

• Chance of Hatching: 8.93%
• Hunger: 15,000
• Trait: grants a 5% chance of duplicating crops when harvesting with a lower chance for rare crops, fruit type crops gets 5% extra chance
• Pros: can duplicate crop with 5%-10% chance
• Cons: rare, more desirable crops have very little chance of being duplicated 

Red Fox

• Chance of Hatching: 1.79%
• Hunger: 35,000
• Trait: goes to a random player’s garden and has a chance of stealing a seed from a non-event crop
• Pros: works similar to Raccoon, higher chance of hatching than Raccoon, cheaper than Raccoon
• Cons: has a chance of unsuccessfully stealing a seed, cannot steal seeds from event crops (candy blossom, candy sunflower, etc)

How To Get a Mythical Egg

To obtain one, you can go to Raphael’s Shop or the Pet Shop- next to Eloise’s Gear Shop. Three eggs will spawn in the shop’s selection every 30 minutes. The Mythical Egg has a 7% chance of spawning, so you might have to wait for a while before you can purchase the egg.

Fortunately, if you decide to tend to your garden while waiting, the game notifies you whenever the Seed Shop, the Pet Shop or the Gear Shop restocks its items.

Once the egg is available in the shop, you can purchase it for 8,000,000 sheckles or 119 Robux. Equip the Mythical Egg and place it anywhere in your garden. It will take 5 hours and 7 minutes for it to hatch, which can be cut short if you have a Chicken or a Kiwi in your garden.

When the timer turns 0, you can then hatch the egg (E) and receive one of the five pets. Equip the pet pet and release it in your garden to start gaining all the pet benefits in Grow a Garden.
