Tundra Esports — Three-Time BLAST Slam Champions

The history of Tundra Esports's dominance at BLAST Slam began with disappointment at BLAST Slam I. The team reached the finals but lost to BetBoom Team, taking second place. This defeat became a catalyst for future success. At BLAST Slam II, Tundra confidently defeated Gaimin Gladiators with a score of 3:0 in the grand final in Copenhagen, marking the beginning of their era of dominance.

At BLAST Slam III, the team once again proved their superiority by defeating Team Falcons 3:1. This confirmed the stability of the roster and their ability to adapt to any opponent. The MVP of the final, Bozhivar "bzm" Bogdanov, stood out with an average damage of 31.4k, highlighting his role as the team's key mid laner.

The Path to Championship at BLAST Slam IV

BLAST Slam IV started with the group stage in an online format, where Tundra and Team Falcons finished with identical 9:2 records. In the playoffs in Singapore, Tundra received a direct ticket to the semifinals, where they faced MOUZ. A 2:1 victory, with an outstanding performance by Pure on Lone Druid in the decisive map, advanced the team to the finals.

The grand final against Falcons was one of the most intense in the series. Falcons won the first map by a large margin, but Tundra responded on the second, dominating 40:20. The fourth map was memorable for Tundra's comeback from a 15,000 gold deficit thanks to Divine Rapier. In the final, fifth game, the teams battled to the last, but Tundra clinched the victory, securing their third consecutive BLAST Slam title.

Pure — From Substitute to Heart of the Team

One of the main heroes of the tournament was Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, who returned to Tundra after playing for BetBoom Team. Previously, Pure played for Tundra from January to September 2024, and after The International 2025, he was invited back, replacing inactive Crystallis and Saksa.

This decision was pivotal. Pure finished the tournament with some of the highest stats among all players: 7.46 KDA and 746 GPM. His performances on Lone Druid, Abaddon, and Faceless Void provided the team with control in crucial moments. On the fourth map of the finals on Morphling, he showcased an incredible score of 11/2/6, which was decisive for the victory.

Transformation After TI 2025

After an unsuccessful performance at The International 2025, Tundra completely rebuilt their roster. Due to visa issues, Whitemon missed part of the tournament, and Crystallis and Saksa were benched. This allowed for the return of Pure and the signing of Ari from OG.

The new lineup combined experience and youth, creating a balance between stability and innovation. Pure became one of the leaders, while Ari brought new energy. This formula allowed Tundra to embark on a new path.

The End of Team Falcons' Dominance

At a time when Team Falcons seemed to be the unshakable leader of the global scene, it was Tundra Esports that managed to break their streak of dominance. After several months during which Falcons confidently won all tournaments and remained the main force in international Dota 2, BLAST Slam IV marked a turning point. Tundra didn't just win—they demonstrated that they could outplay Falcons at their own game: disciplined, composed, and with perfect macro play.
