Catch and Tame: Lost Docks Guide

In Catch and Tame, players hunt for various animals across the map to add to their pens- where each pet’s value will help players make some coins. Over the past several updates, the game has constantly added new islands, each with their own pets, quests and shops.

The latest addition to the map is the Lost Docks Island that was launched in Update 29, which expands further on the fishing mechanic introduced in Update 26. Along with this new island, the game has also added a lot of new items and pets for players to explore. Read further to discover how to get the new Abyss Divine Pet!

Lost Docks Island

The Lost Docks island is a serene island dotted with coconut trees and several large ponds that players can fish from. Sometimes, players might catch a glowing blue whirlpool forming on top of the ponds. When fishing, players might want to cast their fishing line in this whirlpool as they attract rare pets.

One of the two structures available is the Lost Docks Shop, located near the edge of the island. This is where players can buy their fishing tools such as the Fishing Rods, Bobbers and Baits.

The other structure sits in the middle of a pond and has an opening to an underground area, where players can purchase key items from the Underground Merchant. However, there is a metal gate barring players from entering the area and requires a key to unlock it.

How to Get the Lost Docks Key?

To get the Lost Docks Key, players will simply need to start fishing from any of the ponds in the island- which requires a fishing rod. Players can buy and equip any fishing rod available in the shop for this task. Regardless of the rod’s tier, the first item that players will fish out is always going to be the Lost Docks Key.

All New Pets in Update 29

As this update adds fishing permanently into the game, players can now fish in any body of water across all the islands to catch pets from both past and current Fishing Updates. Players can also fish at the lava pools in the underground area of Lost Docks.

Tips and Tricks to Get Rare Pets

• Fish in whirlpools in Lost Docks Island to increase fishing luck.
• Purchase and equip the best tools and bait (Kraken Rod, Starlight Bobber, Bacon Bait).
• When casting the fishing line, hold until the bar is filled before releasing to maximise fishing luck.
• To save on bait, players can jump or walk away if they don't want to get the caught fish. This prevents the bait item from being consumed and wasted on a low-tier pet. [Update: this no longer works]

How to Get the Divine Lochness Pet?

Unlike all the other pets in the list above, the new Abyss Divine Pet can only be acquired by fishing in the Abyss. You might think, ‘how can you fish in the Abyss when you are underwater?’. This is made possible due to the underwater cave in the Abyss. Here’s how you can locate it.

Once players have swam down to the bottom of the Forgotten Depths and entered the Abyss, head to the cluster of glowing circular corals that are almost jellyfish-like. Locate an opening behind these plants and swim along the cavernous passage. At the end of it, swim upwards and you will come up into an underground cave with a locked gate.

Aside from unlocking the gate to get the Trident Lasso, players can also fish in this cave. As the Lochness is a Divine pet, players can expect to spend some time fishing before getting it. Or, players can increase their chances by upgrading all of their fishing tools to the most powerful ones.

All New Items in Lost Docks Island

There are two shops available in Lost Docks Island, both offering different equipment and items to help players catch pets. Each piece of equipment plays a role in the type of pets that players can fish out.

For example, higher-tiered Fishing Rods are stronger and help to increase the chances of reeling in rarer pets while Bobbers increase the chance of catching mutated animals. Baits, on the other hand, increase fishing luck by attracting rare animals.

Lost Docks Shop

To purchase the main Fishing Rods, Bobbers and Baits, players can talk to Chase in the Lost Docks Shop. Fishing Baits are restocked every 5 minutes.

Underground Merchant

To purchase the strongest Fishing Rods, Baits and other items, players can talk to Valerian, the Underground Merchant. The items will be restocked every 15 minutes.

New Fishing Spin Wheel

The Spin Wheel now offers fishing-themed items and new limited pets. Players are able to acquire one free Spin every 24 hours or by purchasing them for 59 Robux each. Here are all of the items that players can get and each of their chances:

All New Eggs in Update 29

Throughout this update, the shop also offers two new limited eggs, the Royal Egg for 399 Robux each and the Elemental Egg for 299 Robux each.

AA Cyber Egg

The Admin Abuse Cyber Egg is the egg given out during this update’s Admin Abuses that could also be rewarded to players from the Fishing Spin Wheel. Below are all three pets that players have a chance of hatching from this egg:
