First favorites of Premier VALORANT Challengers Japan 2024 have been determined

The Premier qualification for the advanced stage of Split2 VALORANT Challengers Japan 2024 has already begun. The first favorites of the competition have already been determined.

Premier was introduced as an in-game system that connects to the competition arena and was intended to serve as an alternative to open qualification, providing opportunities for every team to participate in the competition. This is the first instance where the so-called "Tier 3 scene" can perform alongside Tier 2.

Premier is held every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and each team can play up to two matches per week. The map will change every week, with a total of 7 maps to be played. A win earns 100 points, a loss earns 25 points, and the top 16 teams, including playoff results, advance to the "Advanced Stage".

These 16 teams are divided into two groups, and a tournament is held with a double elimination format, where only the winner of each group plays against the teams that placed 5th-8th in Split 1, and four teams advance to the Split 2 league. This means that to advance from Premier to the Advance Stage, teams will have to go through a very narrow passage. By the way, teams that placed 1st-4th in Split 1 have already guaranteed their participation in the Main Stage.

Currently, Premier has concluded up to Week 5, with only matches on the Breeze map left to be played this week and on the Split map next week. According to information from Riot Games, teams that earn 675 points or more will advance to the playoffs, which will take place on the 28th, and the top 16 teams will be determined based on the results.
