Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam, head coach of Team Vitality — the champions of BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 — shared his emotions after winning his first Major trophy as coach. He spoke about the mental challenges on the road to victory, the decisive performance on Inferno, issues the team faced on Mirage, and the support from French fans despite the pressure of a hostile crowd.

Congratulations, you're the best in the world, as we all know. What are your feelings about this game? Like, how—what are you feeling inside?

Oh, I don't know. It was a bit weird because yesterday one map was really bad, and two maps were completely under control—those two and Inferno. I feel like at this Major, as soon as you have a good start, you… I feel like it was the same for us in the semifinal. I saw the games were also the same. So, yeah. I don’t know, it’s such a weird feeling. I’m happy but also really emotional because, yeah, of course, it’s my first Major.

The first map went differently. You started well, but then you lost control.

Yeah, I mean, it was 3-3, but we lost four clutches, I think.So okay, in this match they deserved the win, for sure. But it could have been very different if at least—we won some of those clutches, because we had a good CT side, and then we could have done something on the T side after that.

We had a good talk, because we were not ourselves, at least in the second half. Like, okay, it’s over—and sometimes we struggle to finish. And yeah, Inferno—it was just a mental game, I promise. We were going to fix Inferno. And we did.

Yeah, that’s what I wanted to ask you. You obviously worked on Inferno since yesterday—you showed great performance. Do you want to say anything to the fans?

Yeah, I guess so. Thank you for the support—of course, for the French fans. For going on it, and I see… It could have been really great to have them—because with the whole crowd against us: “Oh, f*ck you, apEX!” But it is what it is.
