In most cases, the update process for applications or games is often seamless. But a lot of Roblox players have encountered issues trying to update the widely popular gaming platform, stopping them from playing their favorite titles. Although Roblox has a highly accessible platform with minimal issues for different hardware, the update function has had hiccups for a while now. If you’re one of those stuck trying to update Roblox on PC, we have gathered multiple solutions for you to try. Make sure to try each one in order until the issue is resolved!
Solution 1: Restart Roblox Application
Most of the time, the way to trigger an auto-update to games is by restarting your Roblox application or browser. When you click to play a game, the update will start by default.
- Close your Roblox application.
- To ensure it’s completely turned off from the background, search for Task Manager in the Windows Search Bar.
- Right-click the Roblox app, then select “End Task”.
- Next, open Roblox app.

Solution 2: Check Internet Connection
An unstable internet connection may be the cause of stuttering updates. Make sure your network and Wi-Fi are functioning normally before you head into the next step. You can manually restart your wi-fi router, turn your wi-fi settings on and off, or replug cables.
