All Known Information about Siege X and Siege 2

Ubisoft plans to unveil Siege X, a reimagined edition of Rainbow Six Siege, at the Six Invitational 2025 championship. The project, previously known as Modernized, will be a key part of the game's tenth year and bring significant changes, including an updated engine, improved graphics, and reworked content.

What is Siege X?

Siege X is the anniversary edition of Rainbow Six Siege, which will replace the current version of the game, renaming it to Rainbow Six Siege: Legacy. According to leakers, specifically frax, the release is scheduled for Y10S2, with key changes including:

  • A revamped engine with enhanced graphics;
  • Updated textures and character models;
  • Potential exclusion of old events — Siege X will feature only new ones;
  • Two new operators and two remasters, including Clash.

Ubisoft has not yet disclosed official details, but leaks confirm that the project is in active development and on schedule.

Ubisoft to start monetizing Siege X

Ubisoft will offer an exclusive Siege X bundle, purchasable only with real money. It includes:

  • Siege X icon;
  • 2670 R6 credits;
  • Animated skin for 556XI;
  • 12 operators;
  • Legendary set for Ash and Siege X charm upon game launch.

Additionally, players active in R6 from 2015 to 2024 will receive the "Veteran Siege" icon for free.

Additional changes in Y10

New ping icons for metal detectors, sprinklers, and fire extinguishers have already been found in the game files. Leaks also suggest that the Y10S1 event will be called "Patriot," and the code name for the Y10S3 operator is Heist. Additionally, leaks revealed which operators will receive Elite skins in Y10S1, with Wamai and Brava set to get them.

Furthermore, it's reported that the Y10S1 operator will have the codename Rauora, and their gadget is called Curtain. This device may be similar to a combination of abilities from Aruni and Castle, but for offense. As pointed out by Shiiny77: "Additionally, the doors should be metal, opening from bottom to top. Like garage doors, essentially. Take all this with a grain of salt for now." The gadget is expected to create temporary defensive barriers or obstacles that can be used for area control and ally protection.

One major topic of discussion has been the remaster of Clash's model. Developers accidentally added it to the marketplace, then quickly removed it. Ubisoft explained it was a mistaken leak, and one developer publicly condemned the leaks of information. However, prominent leaker frax noted that the interest in leaks is driven by a love for the game and a desire to learn news first.

The future of Siege 2: what is known?

While it was once thought that Siege X might be a full-fledged second part, insider Frax clarified that Siege 2 is a separate project that will be released later. Ubisoft is indeed working on a sequel, but there are no specific time frames yet. This means Siege X is more of a modernization of the original game rather than a full release of a new project.

Interestingly, a Rainbow Six Siege 2 page has already appeared on Instant Gaming, but this should be viewed with caution — it might be a placeholder for a future game rather than an official confirmation.

Ubisoft will likely present Siege X at the Six Invitational 2025, which will take place on February 16. It is there that players will be able to learn all the official details about the project's future. While Ubisoft remains silent, all leaks suggest that Siege X is not just an update, but a new stage in the development of Rainbow Six Siege, which could completely change the game.
