Ubisoft has published an official statement regarding updates to the Renown system in Rainbow Six Siege with the release of X. The company detailed changes aimed at improving the gaming experience and player motivation.
With the release of Siege X, Ubisoft has updated the systems for earning experience points (XP), Battle Pass points (BP), and Renown points to give players more opportunities to earn rewards. The new features include:
Although match completion rewards have been adjusted to reflect these changes, the total amount of Glory Points that can be earned per season will remain roughly the same. Ubisoft has stated that these updates are intended to make the time spent in the game more fulfilling and meaningful, regardless of how players choose to spend it. Matches will remain active and player selection will remain stable throughout the season.
The company acknowledged that more transparency is needed, especially regarding the accrual of glory points when leveling up, which are not currently reflected in the final match report. Ubisoft has promised to work on making these moments more visible. Additional updates and improvements are planned for the future, including changes to glory point boosters.
Currently, players will receive:
Glory Points are awarded based on the XP earned per match and the duration of the match itself. Ubisoft also clarified that these are not all the changes to the progression system, and players can expect additional updates.
