Ubisoft responds to questions about the Renown system in Rainbow Six Siege

Ubisoft has published an official statement regarding updates to the Renown system in Rainbow Six Siege with the release of X. The company detailed changes aimed at improving the gaming experience and player motivation.

System update

With the release of Siege X, Ubisoft has updated the systems for earning experience points (XP), Battle Pass points (BP), and Renown points to give players more opportunities to earn rewards. The new features include:

  • New daily Renown point challenges.
  • Increased rewards for Battle Pass challenges.
  • Improved rewards for player level ups, which are now more useful and available more often.

Although match completion rewards have been adjusted to reflect these changes, the total amount of Glory Points that can be earned per season will remain roughly the same. Ubisoft has stated that these updates are intended to make the time spent in the game more fulfilling and meaningful, regardless of how players choose to spend it. Matches will remain active and player selection will remain stable throughout the season.

Transparency and feedback

The company acknowledged that more transparency is needed, especially regarding the accrual of glory points when leveling up, which are not currently reflected in the final match report. Ubisoft has promised to work on making these moments more visible. Additional updates and improvements are planned for the future, including changes to glory point boosters.

Earning details

Currently, players will receive:

  • 500 glory points for completing two matches per day.
  • 1,000 BP points for each Battle Pass task.
  • 1,000 glory points for each player level up (after level 100, the amount of XP required for the next level will no longer increase).

Glory Points are awarded based on the XP earned per match and the duration of the match itself. Ubisoft also clarified that these are not all the changes to the progression system, and players can expect additional updates.
