G2 Esports has officially confirmed the departure of Viktor “TaZ” Wojtas from the position of head coach for their CS2 roster. He will be replaced by Eetu "sAw" Saha, the former coach of HEROIC.
TaZ joined G2 at the end of 2023, and since then, the team has gradually become one of the most stable and dangerous participants in the global tier-1 scene. TaZ worked with the team for 18 months. During this time, he not only earned the respect of players and staff but also established himself as a mentor.
Numbers and Achievements
Under TaZ's leadership, G2 achieved significant results:
- 1st place at BLAST World Final 2024, Fall Final 2024, and IEM Dallas 2024
- 2nd place at PGL Bucharest 2025 and Esports World Cup 2024
- 3rd-4th place at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025, Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, ESL Pro League Season 20, IEM Chengdu 2024, and PGL Major Copenhagen 2024

What's Next for G2?
With the arrival of sAw, who has proven himself at HEROIC, G2 is likely to begin restructuring their gameplay approaches, particularly in terms of map pool and pace. TaZ's departure, despite the nostalgia and respect for his journey, is not the end but a new chapter for G2.
G2 Roster:
Coach transfers in the CS scene often have a much greater impact than player replacements. G2 has a hot summer and fall qualifiers for the next majors ahead. Whether sAw can maintain the heights TaZ lifted the team to, or if G2 will face a crisis, remains to be seen in the near future.
