Six Invitational 2025, the most prestigious Rainbow Six Siege tournament, faced a serious scandal during the playoffs. The incident occurred in the match between M80 and DarkZero Esports, which ended with a 1-2 score in favor of DarkZero. After the game, M80 coach Matteus “Budega” Figueiredo and team manager Igor Vivas were disqualified due to their behavior during and after the match. Ubisoft organizers promptly announced the launch of an investigation.
Details of the incident
After a tense match that took place on the Skyscraper, Clubhouse, and Bank maps, Budega's coach showed emotions that went beyond the acceptable limits. According to sources, the incident occurred after an interaction between him and one of the DarkZero players. Immediately afterwards, the tournament administration intervened and decided to immediately exclude both M80 representatives.
Ubisoft organizers released an official statement:
“M80 coach Matteus 'Budega' Figueiredo and manager Igor Vivas have been disqualified from the Six Invitational 2025 due to unacceptable behavior. An active investigation has been launched, the results of which will be made public later.”
Any interaction that violates ethical standards is strictly prohibited, especially during competitions of this level. This incident has become a precedent for further tightening the rules of conduct at esports tournaments.

M80's response
M80 CEO Marco Mereu did not hide his disappointment:
“I am disappointed and shocked by what happened today during and after the match. It is absolutely unacceptable. I apologize to the players, fans, Ubisoft and DarkZero employees for what happened. I am absolutely ashamed of the way M80 represented themselves today. There really are no words.”
Coach Budega, in turn, categorically denied any accusations, stating on his Twitter account:
“I'm being punished for something I didn't do, and it's all live. Publish the video, I challenge you! Ubisoft is wrong, I did nothing illegal.”

Impact on the team
The disqualification of the coach and manager makes it much more difficult for M80 to continue playing in the tournament. The players were left without leadership and management, which could affect the morale of the team. However, the team confirmed that it will continue to participate in the Six Invitational 2025.
Results of the M80 vs. DarkZero match
In the match between M80 and DarkZero Esports, the first map (Skyscraper) ended with a confident victory for M80 with a score of 7-1. However, DarkZero managed to turn the tide of the game by winning the next maps - Clubhouse (7-2) and Bank (7-4). DarkZero's Panbazou showed an outstanding game, scoring 25 frags and making key kills at crucial moments.
