Ubisoft has officially revealed Operation High Stakes, the third season of Rainbow Six Siege X Year 10. The biggest highlight of the update is a brand-new defender: Denari. Coming from Switzerland, Denari introduces one of the most creative trap mechanics the game has seen, giving defenders new ways to control space and delay pushes. This guide will cover his loadout, gadget, playstyle, synergies, counters, and overall strength.
Denari’s Loadout
Denari comes with a highly aggressive and flexible loadout:
Name | Type |
Scorpion Evo 3 A1 and FMG-9 (SMGS) | Primary Weapons |
Glaive-12 Shotgun (new) and P226 MK 25 (pistol) | Secondary Weapons |
Observation Blockers (x3) and Deployable Shield (x1) | Gadgets |
The highlight here is the Glaive-12 Shotgun, the secondary weapon that inflicts 63 damage, has 29 total shells, and shoots four at once. It is great to open new lines of vision but also dominates close combat. The most balanced loadout is FMG-9 + Glaive-12 + Deployable Shield, giving Denari strong fragging potential and solid utility.
Denari’s Gadget — T.R.I.P. Connector
Denari’s unique gadget is the T.R.I.P. Connector. He carries seven devices at the start of the round.
- Up to 20 metres apart, the connectors can be connected together if they are in line of sight.
- When activated, they create a visible laser beam that slows attackers, does chip damage, and disarms gadgets.
- The lasers are noisy and easy to spot, which forces attackers to waste time and utility clearing them.
Unlike Kapkan or Lesion, Denari doesn’t rely on stealth. His traps are meant to control space and create pressure, turning hallways and staircases into dangerous zones.

How to Play Denari
Denari is a 3-speed, 1-armor operator, which makes him fast and versatile. He can be played in different roles:
- Roamer: Place connectors on roam-clear routes to delay operators like Jackal, Deimos, or Lion.
- Anchor: Use connectors to block plant spots and delay site pushes.
- Flex: Set up traps early, then rotate back to site to defend.
Tips for playing Denari:
- Spread your connectors across the map instead of stacking them together.
- Use the Glaive-12 to make angles behind the laser beams, punishing attackers as they hesitate.
- Pair connectors with Observation Blockers to hide setups.
- Remember: you can pick up and redeploy connectors anytime.

Best Synergies
Denari works best with defenders who provide protection and area denial:
- Jäger / Wamai — protect connectors from grenades.
- Mute / Mozzie — deny drones that could spot traps.
- Azami — reinforce choke points around laser setups.
- Fenrir — combine traps for maximum slowdown.
How to Counter Denari
Denari’s gadget has plenty of weaknesses:
- Bullets or explosives: One shot or grenade destroys a connector.
- EMP gadgets: Thatcher and Impact EMPs disable them temporarily.
- Utility operators: Twitch, Zero, and Brava can destroy or hack them.
- IQ’s scanner: Quickly detects connectors through walls, floors, and ceilings.
Smart attackers will use drones, explosives, or hacking gadgets to clear his setups before pushing.

Is Denari Strong?
Denari feels like a balanced operator. His lasers are visible, destructible, and have many counters. However, his strength lies in creativity: he can reshape defenses mid-round, frustrate attackers, and waste their resources. His fast speed and aggressive loadout make him dangerous, while his gadget ensures utility value every round.
Denari is the first Swiss operator in Rainbow Six Siege X and brings fresh gameplay to defenders. His T.R.I.P. Connectors enable defenders to control the rounds pace by making attackers pause and rethink their pushes. With high-power weapons, great mobility, and an adaptable gadget, he is an enticing proposition to roamers and anchors.
