G2 Dominates, NA Struggles – Full Breakdown of the Six Invitational 2025 Group Stage

The Six Invitational 2025 Group Stage has ended, and 16 teams have advanced to the playoffs. Four teams have been eliminated and will take home $35,000 each (1.16% of the total prize pool).

Group Stage results

Group A

G2 Esports dominated Group A with a flawless 4-0-0-0 record, winning all matches without dropping a map. Their victory over M80 was a statement of strength, as Aleksi "UUNO" Työppönen and Roberto "Loira" Camargo delivered key clutches. Meanwhile, M80 secured second place with a solid performance, bouncing back after their opening loss. FURIA Esports topped the group despite an early loss to CAG Osaka, showing resilience in their later matches. FaZe Clan secured second place but had to battle through multiple close games. Shopify Rebellion and CAG Osaka both showed some potential, finishing with equal records and advancing to the playoffs. Team Secret, despite promising moments, was eliminated after winning only two maps.

 
 

Group C

Team BDS led the group, proving their strength with key victories, including a dominant win over Team Falcons. RazaH Company Academy surprised many, securing second place after a strong showing against DarkZero. DarkZero Esports, despite an inconsistent run, finished third and advanced. Team Falcons barely made it through, while PSG Talon was eliminated after struggling to close out crucial matches.

Group D

Virtus.pro dominated Group D, leading with a strong 7-3 record and an impressive round differential. W7M Esports finished second, showing their championship potential despite early struggles. Spacestation Gaming secured third place, proving their ability to adapt under pressure. Oxygen Esports barely advanced, while SCARZ was eliminated after failing to win a single match.

Playoffs Format & Schedule

All matches will be in a BO3 format, except, of course, for the Grand Final, which will be BO5 with no map advantage. The group winners have a major advantage, as they start from the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals, giving them a better chance to reach the final rounds.

 
 

Prize Pool Distribution:

The winning team will receive $1,000,000, which is 33.33% of the total prize pool. Every team still in the tournament has a shot at the title, but the road ahead will be intense.
