FAQ
NiKo currently uses a mouse sensitivity of 0.7 paired with an 800 DPI setting. This combination results in an effective eDPI of 560, which strikes a balance between swift crosshair movement and precise aim control. Such a setup is favored by many professional players as it allows for accurate tracking and quick flick shots while maintaining stability during high-pressure moments.
NiKo opts for a minimalistic, static crosshair with a -4 gap, length 1, and thickness 1, with no center dot or outline. This design, rendered in a bright white color, ensures maximum visibility against diverse map backgrounds without any visual clutter. The simplicity of his crosshair aids in precise aiming and provides a clear focal point, which is crucial for consistent headshots and target tracking.
NiKo's current monitor of choice is the ZOWIE XL2586X+, a high-refresh-rate display designed specifically for esports. This monitor offers features like low input lag, high color vibrance (set at 14), and a black equalizer at 13, which improves visibility of enemies in darker areas. These settings provide NiKo with a visual edge, allowing for faster reaction times and better target acquisition during intense matches.
NiKo plays at a resolution of 1280x960 with a 4:3 aspect ratio, using a stretched scaling mode. This setup is popular among professional players because it makes enemy player models appear wider, making them easier to spot and hit. The stretched 4:3 aspect ratio also helps concentrate focus on the center of the screen, which can improve reaction time in close-quarters engagements.
NiKo customizes his keybinds extensively to streamline his in-game actions. For example, he binds buying specific grenades and weapons to keys like 'home' and 'ins', and assigns quick buy commands to the numpad and function keys. This approach allows him to access equipment and perform actions rapidly without interrupting his focus, which is essential for maintaining tempo during buy rounds and clutch situations.
NiKo prioritizes performance and clarity by disabling V-Sync and Nvidia G-Sync, setting shader and particle detail to low, and using high global shadow quality. He enables boost player contrast and sets anti-aliasing to 8x MSAA for smooth edges. Texture filtering is set to Anisotropic 16x, and Nvidia Reflex Low Latency is enabled with Boost, all contributing to a responsive, visually clear gameplay experience with minimal latency.
Currently, NiKo uses the Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro White mouse in combination with the Artisan Ninja FX Zero XSoft Black mousepad. The DeathAdder is known for its ergonomic shape and high-precision sensor, while the Artisan pad offers a soft, consistent glide with excellent stopping power. Together, these choices enhance NiKo's ability to make controlled, accurate movements, which are vital for high-level aiming and tracking.
NiKo uses the Razer BlackShark V3 Pro White headset, which is renowned for its clear directional audio and comfort during long sessions. This headset, paired with his preference for high-quality audio settings, ensures that he can accurately pinpoint enemy footsteps and in-game cues. Such audio precision is a crucial element in maintaining situational awareness and reacting swiftly to threats.
Historically, NiKo has experimented with polling rates of 2000Hz and 4000Hz but currently uses a 1000Hz setting. The 1000Hz polling rate provides a stable balance between responsiveness and system resource usage, ensuring smooth and consistent cursor movement without overloading the system. This choice reflects a preference for reliability and consistency over the potential, but often negligible, gains of ultra-high polling rates.
NiKo's only specified launch option is '-noreflex', and he otherwise does not use any additional launch options. By minimizing launch commands, he reduces the chances of unintended conflicts or performance issues, ensuring a clean and stable startup environment for the game. This streamlined approach is favored by many pros to avoid complications and maintain optimal performance.
