zonic will officially become the new Falcons coach on Nov. 1

Danny "zonic" Sørensen has confirmed rumors of a move to Saudi club Falcons. The Danish coach will leave Vitality and move to a new organization together with sports psychologist Lars Christian Robl, with whom he has been working with since his mentoring days at Astralis.

In an interview for Dexerto, zonic listed his goal as winning a major in three versions of Counter-Strike. He succeeded in CS 1.6 as a player, and in CS:GO as a coach.

When it comes to becoming the best team in the world, the Falcons take things seriously, and that's also part of the challenge in front of me.
I'm not coming into an already existing project with the best players. I'm joining a team where my only goal is to become the best team in the world. How I do that is up to me and Lars.

The Dane did not reveal which players will be included in the Falcons roster, nor when the squad will debut, but he will be given financial carte blanche to solve any transfer issue.

As for the new Vitality coach, it is likely to be Mathieu "MaT" Leber, who is the assistant coach. He has already had the opportunity to replace zonic during Gamers8.
