ZETA DIVISION announces departure of coach ryota- and analyst nokaze37

On November 19, Japan-based team ZETA DIVISION announced the end of their contracts with VALORANT GC head coach ryota- and analyst nokaze37.

The 27-year-old ryota- began his VALORANT career in 2020, joining SCARZ. Leveraging his experience in CS, he helped the team secure victory at the EDION VALORANT CUP and reach the finals of the RAGE VALORANT JAPAN TOURNAMENT. However, despite the strong start, the team faced challenges from 2021 to 2022, consistently exiting at the open qualifier stages, except for their appearance in VCT 2021 Stage 2. ryota- left SCARZ in August 2022.

In September 2022, he joined Good 8 Squad but was unable to lead the team to the final stages of VCJ 2023 Split 1 and Split 2. He departed the team in March 2023 and became head coach of ZETA DIVISION GC in May. Under his leadership, the team won VALORANT GC 2023 JAPAN Split 1 and Split 2 and secured second place at the East Asia Games. In the 2024 season, the team continued their success, winning Split 1 and Split 2, and made history by reaching the world championship, where they placed 6th.

Announcing his departure from ZETA DIVISION, ryota- wrote on X:

To become the coach I aspire to be, I spoke with the team and decided to leave. I’m deeply grateful for the support from the management team and for the players who grew alongside me, even though it was my first experience as a coach.

Following the departure of ryota- and nokaze37, the ZETA DIVISION GC roster is now as follows:
