Another silver medal: ENCE loses to Vitality in the Gamers8 final

The French club Vitality did not allow their rivals ENCE to break their streak of second place finishes at major tournaments. In the final of Gamers8, Dan "apEX" Madesclaire won with a score of 2:1, having made a comeback from 0:1.

During the tournament, Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut`s performance was noticeably worse than in previous events - at Gamers8, his final rating was 6.6, which placed him 6th in the top players. Nevertheless, in the final, he managed to turn on in time on the second map, starting from which he was able to pacify even Guy "NertZ" Iluz, who dominated the entire event.

As a result of the competition, Vitality became $400 thousand richer, earning their third title this year. ENCE, on the other hand, will have to be satisfied with the $180 thousand prize.

Players' reactions

We lost in the final against Vitality, and we deserved it. We couldn't win a lot of pistol rounds, that's the way it is. This is the process of learning, but it's still frustrating. We have a few days to rest and then focus on the ESL Pro League. Thank you for your support.
Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia

Vitality's captain is confident that his team is now unrivaled, given the team's results at recent events.

It was really difficult to win the tournament because we had little practice, but we have a fighting and talented team. We played in four finals in the last five tournaments, and won three of them. If we are not the best team in the world, I don't know who is.
