Wildcard have qualified confidently for ESL Challenger Atlanta

Wildcard was the penultimate to make it to the ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2024, which will take place from October 4-6. Their solid play at the indoor qualifier in North America has generated a lot of fan interest.

Wildcard's preparation for Atlanta

Wildcard qualified for the Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR with a 3-0 record, adding to their confidence ahead of qualifying for the ESL Challenger. The team is also on a 15-match winning streak, which emphasizes their high level of preparation and chemistry. Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz and his team made it through the Atlanta qualifier after losing just one map in three series, which only confirms their dominance on the regional scene.

 
 

Tournament Highlights

On their way to qualification, Wildcard first defeated Party Astronauts and then defeated NRG in a tight match. In the grand finals they met NRG again, where Wildcard left their opponent no chance, allowing them to take only 13 rounds in the whole series. Tim “susp” Ångström, Aran “Sonic” Groesbeek and Josh “JBa” Barutt showed great form throughout the tournament.

 
 

Conclusion

Wildcard joined the likes of BIG, BetBoom, FlyQuest, M80, ODDIK and Rooster who will also be competing for a $100,000 prize pool and a spot in ESL Pro League Season 21. The final spot in the tournament will be up for grabs in the European Closed Qualifier, which concludes today.
