The update turned out to be a Korean localization.
At night CS:GO released an update that localizes the game in Korean.
The update received huge attention because yesterday, Valve allegedly added the Source 2 update to the developer test branch. Several dataminers reported this, but at night a completely other update was released, which added Korean localization. This looks like trolling from the developers.
Will it not be updated anymore?
After a rather disappointing update, some users decided that Korean localization was the update dataminers were discussing. However, localization is not at all the update that Valve is preparing.
There is still an unknown application in the CS:GO database, which received several updates last night. And it is precisely this application that dataminers associate with the CS:GO client on Source 2. Therefore, do not despair - a big update is on the way.
What else happened at night?
The Korean localization update isn't the only thing that happened to CS:GO tonight. Activity associated with an unknown application was recorded in the game database. First, the build was transferred to the state of limited testing, meaning the update is almost ready.
After that, the database was updated twice more - in the second update the developers created a new branch called DPRP, which the dataminer tried to decipher. The first three words are Developer Pre Release, a preliminary release for developers, but the last letter remains unknown.
All this activity continues to indicate that Valve is actively preparing a major update that should transfer the game to a new engine. Do not despair because the update at night has nothing to do with Source 2.
