The Valve company announced a new system for issuing invitations to the RMR CS:GO championships. Teams will receive invitations to the closed qualifiers depending on their place in the regional ranking from Valve. The rest of the teams will have to go through open qualifiers.
The regional ranking of CS:GO teams depends on the following factors:
- The amount of prize money earned by the team from tournaments.
- The amount of money earned by the opponent the team beat and the number of these opponents.
- Results of personal meetings.
The representative of Valve said that this system would already be applied at the nearest Major. However, at the time of publication of the material, it is unknown how many teams from the regional ranking will receive invitations to the closed qualification.
