On the night of October 20, Valve released an update that added a check to Counter-Strike 2 for incompatible AMD graphic drivers with the shooter. The developers noted that they are now unblocking CS2 users who received VAC bans due to this malfunction.

- Added a check when launching CS2 for the presence of incompatible AMD graphic drivers. We will now remove VAC bans from affected players.
- Fixed a bug with Windows 11 Auto HDR, which led to the disappearance of smoke.

In early October, it became known that using the AMD driver could lead to a VAC ban in CS2. Later, AMD recalled this driver, which caused the problem.
On October 18, Valve released a patch within which it made changes to the sound accompaniment of the bomb in CS2: now the timer starts to sound differently ten seconds before the explosion.
